Olivier did it again! So sophisticated and fresh! Makes you feel like going to a Fashion high tea. The grids and pearl pieces were my favourites! Always here for his vision.
Gorgeous collection. Very 50's/post-1945 inspired, but with a modern twist. Wish I could teleport some of these looks to my closet lol.
This is the best show I've seen this season. Thank you for a breath of fresh air.

What an amazing collection! These designs somehow manage to be classic, creatively new and totally wearable and that all at the same time. I know tastes vary (and I'm glad they do) but this is exactly the sort of fashion I love!

Well, chanel is really, really commericalized. They make pretty and wearable clothes, but I doubt you can really expect great creativity from them...

They say that so many times, creativity comes from sadness. Maybe he was happy this past 6 months. However, some of those fully embellished and embroidered pieces are really appreciatable.

It's like when Balmain tried to have a collaboration with Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, and Dior in the same room all together and clashed at the end of the day and the result was this. Chaotic.

Lots of kitsch, overdrive unfortunately.
The shiny vinyl black looks could have been edited out. But chaos? No.
At the end of the show I thought, that some people will see it so. I not! For me it was very, very interesting, partly wonderful. But the models: looking and moving so listless and disinterested !
As usual the clothes are great the shoes really suck. Although I am not a fan of living through another time of shoulder pads.
Pearl outfits look heavy, how do you eat or write or drive in the last one that covers ur hands.?

К сожалению, крайне неудачная съемка - темнота, короткий проход модели, вид сверху, ничего толком не разглядеть. Но несмотря на утрированность многих деталей и на придурковатость отдельных моделей, все равно очень эпатажно и изящно!

Sometimes Designers NEED to hire the seasoned Models, to really 'WERK' the runway.
Agencies don't prioritise their models for Balmain shows anymore

These model walks have to be the unappealing I have seen on a runway. Distracts from the clothes. I honestly think it is the shoes they were wearing.

A very interesting collection...some classic designs...and others right up-to-date...however there was a huge flaw in this show...the footwear...oh my...I feared that one or two of them might go over on their ankle...also flat shoes do nothing for the elegance of the model and detracts from their aim to show the garments off to their best...that being said a great collection.

Not impressed at all. It was all over the place.
Olivier Rousteing never had his own ideas. Here you can see his collection and you understand that he quotes wherever possible. Yes, he quotes talentedly, but ...
Nothing wrong with reinterpretation of classics.
Fashion is built on that.
He decided a nod to the founder was necessary after so many seasons of…whatever.
I consider it brave to look back and reimagine classics with a modern eye. No harm no foul.
When the models look bored and lifeless…..so do the clothes. Try again.
It seems to be the current thing. After watching a dozen runway shows, I think all of the models just look angry. Go figure. I don't know why the designers think that's the way to go.
