This is sad, we regulate too much in the Philippines. Any person or profession should have the God given right to make money by affiliating to selling or buying whatever products they want. We don’t need these congress people WITH THEIR OWN Fleet of luxury cars that drive in bus lanes, to tell us what we can’t be or shouldn’t be doing without their permission!

I work with them when they were starting fellowship at PHC, they have a genuine interest in their profession , kind , efficient and respect to co workers and patient . Dr L Go , Dr J Cayetano and Dr B Flores .
I have known some of these doctors and been a patient for almost 2 decades and they GENUINELY want to make healthcare and meds more accessible to Filipinos who can't afford the more expensive ones. If you compare the prices of the meds compared to the other "branded" ones (aka bigger pharmas), these are cheaper. Also, NOT ALL they recommend are from their pharma lang - siyempre it depends on what they trust in terms of what's been researched on, tested safely, and what works. Also, as with most doctors sa reseta, they include the generic names so as a patient, you still have a choice to choose if gusto mo na ibang brand or generics (if meron pang cheaper). I feel kinda bad/sad that their genuine intention to help our less privileged kababayans has been painted as bad as this...

Conferences abroad updates technological knowledge of doctors similarly like having to spend the doctors money to attend advance knowledge in other countries. The pharma offers the same knowledge for free. I think there is nothing wrong with this more especially our country lacks medical research work. Or the government instead provide a budget to train our doctors abroad.
You might be out of this world if you really believe this is free. This is free to the doctors but the costs plus huge mark up were passed to patients.
true. they are just grateful to doctors who support and prescribe their meds. that why they are giving incentives. they are giving the doctors a support that the government cannot.
@@rasexmarko8433 i dont thinks so. may kilala akong doctors and she told me na they are having seminars, elections for new officers etc. and they dont have the budget and support from the government for this thats why they are asking those top pharmaceutical kasi they know na d sila tatanggihan kasi mataas naman sales nila. mataas sales nila not because of doctors na may incentives..but because they are really effective and quality... imagine the brand X cost 26 pesos and bellkenz cost 12 pesos. but the effectivity is same lang.. kaya sympre the doctors might probably try to prescribe it

Let's not blame everything to a single entity. Prices go up or down based on multiple factors but inevitably it is the tax imposed by the government that hikes up our consumable goods.. which includes medications and medical devices..
Bakit never na-bring up sa senate hearings ang pagtaas ng taxes? Kasi sila (government officials ang nagbenefit sa mga ito)
If I may put things into perspective.. magkano po ba ang "salary grade" ng isang senator at ng isang doctor na nasa government o government hospital?

Does the work they produce actually commensurate the amount they are paid by the government? Marami tayong senator na kaya naging senator dahil sa pagiging artista o dahil galing sa kilalang political family.. pero hindi mo kayang ideny na lahat ng doctor ngayon as nagsakripisyo ng kabataan nila para magaral at ipagpabuti ang medisina sa bansa. Buong buhay na pagaaral ang katumbas ng pagiging doctor. Hindi porket tapos na ang pagaaral sa kolehiyo ng medisina ay tapos na ang usapan ng pagaaral.
So ngayong magtataka ka ba kung bakit wala masyadong doctor ang maygusto manatili sa government institutions
Ang isang espesyalista kaya naman kumita ng ganung halaga sa private practice nila diba.. at hindi kailangan mag-gugol ng trabaho sa loob ng isang buwan para sumahod ng ganung halaga.. isipin mo sa isang buwan ang isang doctor na tumitingin ng sabihin na natin ng 20 patients kada araw for 4 weeks with a minimum consultation fee of 300-500: 120,000-200,000 na consultation pa lang.. wala pa dun ang pag-oopera or pag-gawa ng procedures...
Tapos sa government unli # of consultation pero ni thank you wala naman sinasabi ang ibang pasyente o demanding pa.. ibang level po ng dedikasyon at compassion ang binibigay ng mga doctor sa mga government hospitals... kaya wag po sana natin sila husgahaan ng ganyan!!
Ngayon sa tingin mo angkop ba ang pasweldo ng bansa natin sa mga doctor na nagbibigay ng oras at buhay nila sa ganitong trato? Grabe ang kawalan ng respeto ng mga senador natin na ang nakikita lang sa ganito ay ang mga pasulyap na nais nila ipakita.
