BMW Motorrad has just introduced the R12 and R12 NineT. This classic cruiser and roadster model is the next generation of the R nineT which was launched 10 years ago.The new BMW R 12 is planned to go on sale in spring 2024. For this new model the BMW R 12 offers “Rock” and “Roll” modes to choose from. In “Rock” mode, the boxer engine responds more directly to throttle rotation. And at idle, it vibrates with programmed uneven revs - actually a paradox in a two-cylinder boxer with even ignition intervals. This should perhaps be understood as a direct allusion to the V-twins in the competition. The softer "Roll" mode mimics the standard mode.
