  • 2021 Hunting in Texas, ran low on ammo so did not hunt allot this year; bought new ATN 4K Pro scope in October, only three videos taken with new 4K scope in this video. Thinking new scope will give some great videos.

10 or 11 of these wild hogs tore up my backyard lawn in Florida around a year ago on the Treasure Coast just 20 miles off Atlantic Ocean. HOA had to hire and expensive trapper to catch and kill them. Now I'm on the hook for around 35 pieces of new Sod etc. They are extremely destructive. And dangerous. That is why I enjoy watching videos like this one. Keep up the good work. And I feel for the Florida farmers that are fighting these wild Hogs too. Many are just getting by!!!

I would like to share the video listed below as to what I am doing. Good to see someone that recognizes it. When I found the video that is linked below, my hunt changed to one shot one kill. If you watch that video you will understand as to how I am able to take them down with one bullet with the proper shot placement. Video is a little slow but very educational. Hope you enjoy your new scope. Let me know if there is a question you think I might be able to answer. Here are some tricks I have learned and use a lot. Tip 1; Hold the back button down while turning zoom wheel to change brightness setting, I keep a setting of 1 at night time because anything brighter will jack with my eye in the dark. Tip 2; When zeroing the scope, after the shot at any zoom power, zoom to full power before going into “Zero Reticle”. Doing this the reticle will only move a point at a time, there for you will be making small moves as you zero the scope. And before you shoot again, back out of “Zero Reticle” and put your zoom where ever you like it. I have two different bullets and four saved settings. Both bullets are saved and 75 yards and saved at 120 yards. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching.

I agree! In Texas you do not need a hunting license to harvest feral hogs in most cases. Everybody that I know of hunts other game so we all have a hunting license. If someone in Texas is only going to hunt feral hogs, they would not need a hunting license as long as they are on their own land or have permission to hunt hogs from the land owner. You will need a hunting license if you are hunting hogs on public land. Texas is working with us, maybe other states will soon follow. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching

Pair them with gov paying farmers not to grow, the price of fertilizer if they can even get it and Bill Gates being the single largest farmland owner...We are in big trouble!

In either one of my 4’ x 6’ box blinds, I just rest the rifle on the wooden window opening. In order to get a clean video without making viewers sea sick, I use a “BOG Havoc Shooting Stick, Bipod” just in front of the trigger guard to steady out the rifle. Without the bipod sticks the video jumps around instead of the smooth moving like you would see in a regular video taken from a camcorder. Good question buddy, thanks for watching.

@@artsmith103 I am not sure of a good or better bullet or one grain over the other; I would just recommend using a polymer tip bullet. Because, upon impact, the plastic drives into the hollow point and the bullet performs like a standard hollow-point, expanding ("mushrooming") to a larger diameter. These bullets possess the aerodynamics for longer, more accurate flights, and the in-target performance to ensure high lethality.

Thanks for your great question. We live in a small community with mostly cattle farmers; the game warden eats breakfast at our only restaurant in town and can be found there and talked with. I will ask him again about this, years ago I asked and there was no chance of that happens. I am not sure about the use of poisons in this area today, like back then, I don’t think it could be hidden or someone would be licensed to use it because of all the “By” kills including the cattle, deer, squirrels and protected birds of prey along with ducks and fish getting into bait that is poisoned or animals lying dead in the fields. I will get an update from the game warden or just talk to some of my hunting buddies that are closer to him and land owners. Thanks again for your question and thanks for watching.

Thanks for your comment; rifle is chambered in .30-caliber, 300 Blackout. Ammo is hard to come by but I prefer to use a 110 grain bullet. I have left a link to my rifle but AAC does not make the complete rifle any more. Thanks again for watching my videos. www.personaldefenseworld.com/2015/12/the-aac-mpw-rifle-silent-knockdown-power/#aac-mpw-1

Good eye buddy, I did wait until I got a chance to make one shot with two kills. Other one made it about 40-50 yards before he was collected for frying pan processing. Thanks for your comment. More to come.

What would be cool is if you could come up with some kind of targeting app to coordinate the targeting of a herd of pigs and have each person in the team assigned a hog and then simultaneously go bang so none of them can run away. It would make a tremendous racket tho.

Yes Sir, that would be awesome, however the knuckleheads I hunt with can never seem to get together at the same time due to work and wife chores. Maybe it will work on a smaller scale, but that’s a great ideal. Thanks for your suggestion and as always, thanks a bunch for watching my videos.

Best scope I have had yet for my gammo rifleThis scope holds up willMost scopes will not take the double recoilSo I do recommend this scope for air rifles

Wow, that is awesome! An ATN scope on an air rifle, that has got to be fun. Yes the recoil feature needs a firm hit but you are doing great by just turning on your video before you shoot. Thanks for sharing and thanks for your comment.
