I am seventy and have heard many wonderful musicians, but Perelman stands head and shoulders above any violinist in my lifetime for his sheer accuracy on every note he plays
@@shanedelgado666 theres been so many greats within the past 100 years, and what is your metric for "greatest"? What abbout Frank Peter Zimmermann, Heifetz, Roman Kim, Augustin Hadelich, Ginette Neveu, hell, even Eugène Ysaÿe who is mentioned in the video lived within the past 100 years...
Not sure about accuracy. Perlman is my favorite living violinist, but for raw accuracy, Hahn, Kavakos, Hadelich, etc might be slightly better. That being said, I don't think either of them have quite the... well, whatever it is that Perlman has. Sheer musicality perhaps.
There are so many talents today, it's so hard to tell who plays the best. I always put it this way though, Perelman opened up the door for modern violinists, it is safe to say no violinists now wasn't inspired by him at some point.
The man's personality is pure *GOLD* WHAT a lovely man, I can only wish I'd one day be able to meet him and take a word of advice from him... Bless him🌹
0:14 to 0:19 - yeah, that looks about right haha. Definitely how I approach the fast staccato passages ! If it makes the greatest violinists in the world shrug and get a laugh then I must be doing *something* right. :P

Tocar el violín es divertido... Pero no es fácil. La música es fácil sólo para los amateurs.
leonardo Rojas Ningún instrumento es fácil :'(
He is the one who wants us to play and practice. He tells us to always be the best and he want us to be like him. He is such a great man
I am seventy and have heard many wonderful musicians, but Perelman stands head and shoulders above any violinist in my lifetime for his sheer accuracy on every note he plays
Oh absolutely sir. I am only 33, but I can completely agree with you that he is the greatest violinist of the last 80 to 100 years, for sure.
Excect Perlman himself would say that Heifetz was a god. i agree with him.
