Anyone who doesn't value draft picks deserved to be fired from being a basketball team's GM. We will never forget JJ drafting Stix in the first round when he could have easily been had in the late second round. We will never forget Haliburton and how JJ didn't see him as a star potential.
Bob Myers’s would be a nice surprise
His job was to build a championship contender. He chose this roster, yet didn't have to take accountability for the results. We have needed a backup pointguard and a real power forward for over three seasons now. He has flat out refused to use scouting and player development in this organization. Gambling on what has been called the " anti- presti"( sam presti) method. How did that work out for us this last season? I'm not saying rebuild, that makes absolutely no sense right now. What i am saying is get a young talented player to learn behind our stars like bol did behind durant. You talk about continuity, but how can you extend that window by getting significantly older and more injury prone each season?

Sunsgeek, regarding the draft. Check out tyler kolek and hanson yang of china. I think they both fit the suns needs and could make an impact.
Some names to watch in the draft despite the potential for the pick to be traded. Tyler kolek- has been compared to a poor man's steve nash and jalen brunson. Ulrich comche- has been compared to a young serge ibaka because of his athleticism, post defense and physicality. Kel'el ware- has been compared to mavericks center dereck lively but with an improving offensive game. Even bronny james is a strong defender that has shown he can shoot the three and is athletic. I don't see why we can't trade for one of these guys and get a vet too in a package. One center that is pretty much unknown but is big, young, athletic and very skilled both offensively and with his post defense is chinese center hanson yang. If the suns drafted him we wouldn't have to worry about the center position anymore. Let me put it this way, jokic was an out of shape but skilled big drafted in the second round. Other teams passed on him at first glance. For those that haven't seen clips of hanson yang, he is incredibly talented. But he plays in china so very few actually have heard of him. I know the suns haven't . They like missing on hidden talent. This is one of those guys.
Jones built up roster in Monti era, not enough in short Vogel time, will he step up in Bud era now or disappear? Will owner let him do it right? Will Jones ever draft players? We will see.
