- I am lucky enough to have lots of bikes, tools and MTB kit however it was all just dumped in my empty, unorganised garage. I decided to create the dream garage setup focusing on security, storage & organisation.
In episode 1 the garage took a huge transformation from an unorganised dumping ground to a dream workshop/bike cave and in episode 2 we added some awesome features! In episode 3 we are tackling bike storage and have the ultimate solution for steadyrack! This is only the first part of the bike storage section of this project so stay tuned for the next episode!

Great work BUT as the door isnt fully tight you can see a gap so moisture / wet / damp can get in it will get into the insulation and come through the wood causing you issues / rotting. Youll have to rip it all down to replace it sadly

you should build a compact cupboard where you were standing in the corner to with a row of hooks to store your wheels in
Add some task lighting underneath your overhead cabinets.
You needed an sds drill for the floor mate that’s why
Good thing with the bike storage if you move u can just unbolt the false wall and take it to your next house and remount it. Happy days
Very nice. Even though it looks like you need more room of fewer bikes - so ya need more room.
You might need some spotlights in all 4 corners, pointing to the center, to work on your bikes.
Best bike racks have had them for over a year now and work sweet

You've got me sold on that steady rack. I've been struggling with the same too many bikes, small garage issue for a while now
Love the bike racks very cool and practical
I would of put sockets near the Emile so you can charge it while its hanging up
And a little shelf /bin to sit the charger on
You should put an awesome picture of yourself or another mtb rider on the blank wall in a frame and maybe some more lighting like strip lights or something.

It looks brilliant.
The racks look great, so does the wall- not sure why you didn't tuck it back a couple more inches. What kills me is that hand saw- you're obviously good with it though. Just sayin, a decent, lightweight, electric radial saw is less than 50 bucks and they last forever. Next, I would look at some led rope lights for the perimeter of the ceiling because they're easy to install and if you don't like them, you're out the cost of a good pizza.

Nice space, does your work area have separate lighting, you would create a shadow on your workspace while your working as it is.
You will have to invest in a sds drill, as tho battery drill are mealy a percussion drill... Get a proper hammer drill and you will never go back 👌

What is the size of the wall and distance between the racks? I'm building a shed for 4 bikes and was planning to have it 2m wide. Your garage back wall looks similar size.
What's happening with the electrics on the wall you tidy them up then you could fit another bike rack next to them
The condensation from the garage door will make the insolation damp an that will soak into the wood making it mould an smell.
The garage door isn't sealed I don't think, so it should air out.
But it may also allow moisture in? :/
I only said because i know 2 people who have done this an both of them had the same damp problem. To be honest im not sure if they tried to seal the garage door first haha.
It did look like they just laid the insulation in there sideways instead of stapling it to the wood like they should have; with a small gap at the bottom.
However, if the wood is touching the concrete floor, and any water comes in under/around the garage door when it rains, or even if groundwater touches the concrete, they'll still have a moisture problem. Unless the top of the concrete is really well sealed, as concrete wicks moisture.
Just a thought, you could store bikes at my house? 🤔😂🤙

Looking so tidy Tom, great job. My cheapy hook is almost being pulled off the wall with the e bike. Also like you say my hook style ones hurt your rim.
