Blessed and Broken

Have you ever been used and abused by the people you love? Have you ever felt so worthless that you can’t stop yourself from crying? Have you ever been so shattered that it seems everything in your life is falling apart? We may have different experiences but all of us, at some point in our lives, have felt the pain of being broken. And this brokenness can lead us feeling empty and hopeless - that we even sometimes question God on why He allowed it to happen when in fact whether we realize it or not, it is in our pain that God is closest to us, just like what the Bible says in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit."
A preacher once said that, ‘from a mess of brokenness comes a message of blessing.’ Contradicting isn’t it? But our God is so good and faithful that He can bring beauty out of our brokenness. He allows us to be broken because He sees something precious in us which He wants to polish. After going through the most painful and difficult times that we experience the fullness of God’s power in our lives. God can take our broken pieces and mend it with His love and grace, and turn it into a beautiful masterpiece that will bless others too.
My dear friends, allow yourselves to be broken before the Lord, let go and let Him take full control of your lives. May this song remind us that after brokenness comes God’s greatest blessings.
