Water/coolant steam cleans the cylinders. I remember seeing a video where they tested sea foam vs water as motor treatment by spraying them on the intake/vacuum side. Water definitely beat seam foam.
You dont have to , but it is highly recommended to inspect it for any slack , also keep in mind how many miles the car may have , but as long as you’ve been consistent with oil changes then they should last a very long time.
@tng11automotive63 I have that car too but its 2007 Nissan versa hatchback here at my profile picture I got cylinder misfire when I replaced the catalytic converter do you think the catalytic converter is defective?
Super video, viewing from qatar.im about to attempt the same. I have oil leak at the back of head gasket. For the head gasket did you use any sealant and if yes, what type. Thanks russell
Hello and a big Thank You for making the video. If you have time, could you answer a question? I didn't put the car in top dead center. Did I mess up bad? And can I fix it?. Thank you for your time.
@taliarose6573 Well if the engine is a “no tolerance engine” meaning if the timing is incorrect the piston can physically crash with the valves and result in damaging your engine before you even get it to start , so you will have to de-assemble the timing cover and put it in timing but if the engine is NOT a “no tolerance” engine meaning if the timing is off the piston will never physically crash with the valves because theres still a gap in between them big enough so they wont crash in case timing is off then your safe , however your car will run bad since cam and crank timing are off , these are timed with a timing chain so either way you still kind of have to de-assemble timing chain cover, only difference is if your engine will mess up or not due to if it is or isnt a “no tolerance engine”, hope this helps if you have any more questions please ask :)
@tng11automotive63 thank you very much. I'm just getting to this part of reassembly, and I have everything lined up, it's just that the chain fell out of its place. Could I just put it back or do I need to reset the timing. And thanks again for your time. This will be the last question........ you Rock...
Ofcourse our pleasure! 😁 and okay so if you have everything lined up the cams and crank shaft and physically aligned to timing marks and engine is in top dead center . you could just pop the chain AS LONG as everything stays aligned without moving when you install the chain. Now YES some chains have there “timing marks” where they supposedly want you to have the chain placed within the gears of the cam and crank shaft but this just helps you align the cam and crank , but AS LONG as the cam and crank are correctly aligned and timing and engine is in top dead center (cylinder 1 at top dead center , highest point to the top before going down) you can disregard how the chain is installed, just make sure the cam and crank dont move and stay timed and aligned to timing marks, if you have more questions PLEASE ask we love comments ! so please dont feel held back to ask away we do our best to answer all the time and quickly! 😁
Hi. Could you please tell me the head bolt torque specs details of nissan tiida latio 2005. I am going to change new head gasket. 1.5 petrol at engine?
Step 1: 40 Nm; 4.1 kg·m; 30 ft·lb Step 2: Turn all bolts 60° Step 3: Loosen all bolts completely Step 4: 40 Nm; 4.1 kg·m; 30 ft·lb Step 5: Turn all bolts 75° Step 6: Turn all bolts another 75° Let me know if you have any other questions :)
@@TNG11Automotive that's good to know, I got a similar car that has the same problem as your car. Hopefully I can fix it like the way u do. Thank you for the reply.
Ofcourse! make sure to check your engine block after removing the head (make sure theres no cracks and warpage) Same with your head , we’d highly recommend to send it in a machine shop for a resurface and compression check (bad valves , cracks , warpage) This will all comes into importance for this repair to be successful! Good luck ! Let us know if you have anymore questions! :)

Dope!
I love this car I drove one 2012 for 2 years .fast car and ac is perfect in a place like kiwait ... ans still have my own 2007 .1.6 letters ❤
Yes very great cars indeed ! durable and cheap to maintain! they fit anywhere !!
@tng11automotive63 do I have to replace the timing chain when doing the head gaskets. Or can I reuse timing chain

WHAT SIZE OF SOCKET DO YOU USE TO REMOVE ALTERNATOR BELT TENSIONER?
Super video, viewing from qatar.im about to attempt the same. I have oil leak at the back of head gasket. For the head gasket did you use any sealant and if yes, what type. Thanks russell
For the head gasket usually theres no additional sealant to add but you could use Copper Spray- A -Gasket by Permatex and that should be good !

I only have a touque wrench. Do tell me in ft lb.
He did tell you foot pounds. You also need to get it to rotation spec by following the instructions above.
Are these engines just notoriously noisey? I was gonna replace pistons (assuming piston slap) but yours sounds pretty noisey as well
I think so
What size of socket do you used for the head bolts?
EP 18. External impact star plus socket the size is EP 18. Hope this helps
Good informative video, but, I personally don't like the sped up portions of it! I would rather watch the whole in depth process of the engine work!
Thanks for letting us know we will do our best to do better next time :)
I agree compa a tutorial would have been hella way better pa echarmela al morral feel me aja
We want to see how to do it😢
Do you have any updates for the car after 7 months?
Unfortunately the car has just been parked after the repair :(
@@TNG11Automotive but does it still runs?
Yup starts up and runs fine everytime !
