    Quick note: The Reebok Speed 22 TR's release date got pushed a tiny bit in the US from what I understand. If you look for this model and don't see it available in the US etc., then give it a few days and it should be live then!

      Lol you probably Already got a pair in your possession but the metcon 8 were released on DicksSportingGoods

    • @thatfitfriend

      @@D-Breezy94 I do not! They took them down already. IMO, so many companies have messed up already with this model's release, lol. Nike still doesn't have a formal US release date for them which is silly since they've been sporadically released across the globe already.
      I'm waiting for their formal release to buy a pair and get a review in the works.

    I have the first Speed TRs, and love them! Love the wolf tattoo also!

      The OG Speed TRs were sick!

    I bought the speed trs about a year and a half ago, and I had awful heel rub that led to blisters. I wore them one time, had to return them. I was sad. But I do think Reebok is going in the right direction with their shoe catelog (aside from the weird collaborations with celebrities), I just wish the nanos would go back to a 4 mm heel to toe drop

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  Před 2 lety +1

      The original TRs? Those were so hit or miss. I feel like you either loved them or hated them with not much in-between.
      I feel you there. If they would keep this model as a more plush trainer, then bring back a similar mode to the Nano

    Top tier content. Honestly one of the best fitness channels. Keep it up.
    I have two questions.
    Do you think that high tops like sk8 highs could interfere with squat ankle mobility?
    Is there a model that you recommend that is basically a converse/ van but with a wide toe box?
    Thanks

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  Před 2 lety

      Thank you!
      1. It depends! If you lace any high-top shoe tightly, then you may experience some ankle mobility restrictions. The thicker the material and tighter the lacing, the more limitations you'll run into.
      2. Look into the Reebok Power Lite Mid (you may have to do some digging to find them), you could also look into the NOBULL High-Top Trainer, they're wider and have a nice level of versatility with them!

    Hi, Jake! greetings from Brazil. Can you help me, please: I train strength training 4x a week and run approximately 4km daily. Can I trust this model considering this routine (performance, durability of the shoe) or is there a better suggestion in the same price range? I subscribed to your channel. very good!

    • @thatfitfriend

      It should be okay! I'd try them out, especially if you can find them on sale!

    already ordered that!!!

      Nope! Only can be an issue if you have custom inserts sometimes. You’ll be fine :)

    Hi Jake i was wondering if these shoes could work for me i mostly do class fitness involves jumping and lateral movement squats( training to lose weight and keep myself fit) or should i go with the nano x2 or any other recommendation
    Keep up the great content

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  Před 7 měsíci

      These would be fine, imo! They'll lack for lifting to an extent, but lighter stuff and cross-training they're solid!

      I found the nano x2 with cheaper price than the speed does that change things

    Do you think this is a great shoe for Les Mills classes? I mostly go to BodyPump and BodyCombat, some weight trainings (not so heavy), and a short run distance (~5km)

    Is this the same as the old Speed TR's they made for CrossFit workouts? This seems like more of a running shoe. I've been trying to find their Crossfit version for awhile now but it appears they stopped making them. Or did they just change the name?

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  Před rokem

      Not at all the same and avoid them if you're wanting something like the OG Speed TR. I loved that model and Reebok took steps backwards with the direction of that line, imo. This isn't a bad shoe, but it's def not like the OG Speed TR.

  • @dariosimonepalmiotti2739

    Considering that Nano X2 is priced $135, $110 is a miss for me. They should be max $100. Great review as always

      Interesting. They have a 30€ difference here in Portugal. Do you believe the 30€ is that much worth it? I'm going back to the gym after 8 years... In terms of design the X2 are much more superior in my opinion.

    Hi man I'm not totally newbe. I'm focusing on machines, some cardio, and learning barbell techniques with the objective to start an heavier hiit training. I don't lift heavy weight. Do you think this are a good investment until the 2024 summer? Any alternative?

    • @thatfitfriend

      @@thatfitfriend I tried it and I felt the sole too hard for me. Maybe to much for my preparation to appreciate their quality. I also tried the mc trainer 2 and i felt it really comfortable. Mostly for the intermidium thickness that helps stability in pronation. For 50€ i think could be a good idea. If you want to suggest more models and brand i will appreciate.

    they should change the name of the shoes since it’s no longer a speed work trainer.
