I love how Pyro would likely be the only mercenary to call everyone by their real names instead of their class names.
I like the idea of Pyro knowing the name of every Merc, but the Mercs not knowing Pyro's name. (or even gender) :P

I do think it's sweet that Pyro refers to his colleagues by their actual names. If everyone knew what "inhumane thoughts" lay behind that mask, they would think it's fitting.
The Mercs seems to fear Pyro and they have no idea Pyro just see them as friends. t.t

The lore actually backs this because Pyro is treated, or at least talked to, in the same way that most young children are by both engineer in the comics and miss Pauling when giving you a contract… so I mean 50/50 guardianship over the kid?

@@trialnerror3643 it’s because he’s flanderized to the point that he went from crazy army veteran to just plain crazy, which is a good thing. But the comic relief side of soldier downplays a lot of his characteristics as a wannabe soldier who loves his country.

Why do I feel like pyro generally made a latte with nothing inedible in it and everyone is just being too safe.
That's the canon story for me in this animation. I like making Pyro do really innocent things, with no malice, but the Mercs see them as a monster. (◕ ʜ ◕ )

The entire video I was like "aw poor pyro, but this is also kinda wholesome, seeing how it just wants to be friends with them, yet everyone doesn't like them (or has time)"
Then in the end, when pyro gives coffee to the engineer, I thought, "how cute! Engineer understands pyro and also wants to be his friend."
But then pyro says "why do I have to work with these dumbasses" and my brain broke for a sec.
Even Pyro, in their cuteness overload personality, has had enough. Can't say I blame Pyro, tbh. xD

Haven't seen pyro being an SFM's main character in a while. Forgot about that charming adorable personality that lies within that gas mask.
Also this is the first SFM I've seen that uses the mercs' real names. It feels kind of weird but it gives it a bit of nature and realism despite TF2's usual goofy and silly mood
I really like using Pyro as a main character in my animations... since there can be anything under that mask, the possibilities for jokes are enormous!
And yeah, since they are not in the battlefield, I wanted to give them a more casual approach. ;3
@@Misantropico Well you certainly got that casual vibe to it that you were looking for. God even the engineer using the coffee as a hat feels like it's something that could easily happen outside of the battle x3
I love the little detail that demos second long thought refers to the Pyro as lass instead of lad. Honestly, other than engineer being kind of dumb at the end, this feels like a Valve made animation with how on point the characters are.
Just like in the official animation, where the subtitles call pyro a "him" and after that a "her"... it is in the small details. :3

Out of context it just seems like one of those christmas hats that are goofy and wholesome and cute just to be added to the game like the toy train on the head or the chrima tree on head or a teleporter on head or sleigh on head or any other thing slam dunked on the noggin

I like the fact that at this point most everyone can understand what Pyro is saying through the mask (at least enough to have conversations). Despite their misgivings, it shows that they’re at least learning

Now the coffee is sweet and all but what I love about this is how well you fill an environment with stuff and details to make it really feel lived in. Not to mention the bang up job in character movement. Everyone’s got a good bounce to them.

I like making the entire scenes feel alive, with random stuff in the background, even if it is just a cloud moving far away. And making the Mercs off the battlefield is always fun.
Making art in coffee is really nice, but I have no idea how it really works, tbh. :3

The 2 weeks I give myself to make animations don't stress me and if they did, I would give myself a break, there is no doubt in that... I've been through some really bad things in the past and I'm not going to repeat it again with something that truly brings me joy. (=^ω^=)

I really do like the idea of "times in between" where what would the mercs do in between battles or what they would do in won territory waiting for the next fight.
