Yea Jason, went to see J.T or J.T. and the heartbreakers at peppermint lounge in 1980 or '81 show was absolutely unbelievable. Went back the next night for an encore all the same characters were there and the stage was all set up, drums guitars. By 2AM everyone in the joint was screaming for Johnny. At 3AM. They made announcement he was sorry show canceled. One of many crazy stories from 70s and 80's NYC.
Not really. Better vocal timbre? Maybe. Both had limited tonal range but Walter only ever sang rock and roll as far as I know. Thunders sang r&b and ballads too and he was really great at that!
Depends on the song. Don't think Waldo could have pulled off born to lose as well jonny doing one track mond wouldn't be right either so it was right as it was.
I love this so much, don't quite know why, but that's the beauty of r&r
I believe this is the first song Walter ever wrote. The Heartbreakers... will LIVE forever through the great music they left us!
This is about as good as it gets, dream on
I love this song
Fuck, I love this song. Brings back memories of being so young, fun and in love with a beautiful girl. Cheers 🥂🍀👍
❤
If you were lucky enough to see them that year at Max's, it was as good as RnR ever got. Period.
Great 🤙
Billy can I bum a cigarette? 😎
RIP Waldo!
He passed?
2020 just sucks

Long time fan but just discovered this song.
Walter was always a better vocalist than Johnny
I thought that but I've seen some footage when thunders sobered up and johnny sounded amazing

@@joseaqamart1257you can see that in his last album, copycats, and also in some of his songs in his solo stage
