Beethoven: Pathetique
a work that is extremely passionate and emotional, especially with feelings of pity, grief and sorrow. That is what "Pathetique" really means in classics
redfullpack feelings of pity, grief, and sorrow? That’s what I feel when the video buffers lol
this makes me feel how pathetique my piano playing is in comparison
Ethan Daniel I don’t want to sound pathetique by saying “r/woooosh” so um- I’ll just say wooosh.
Imagine he wrote this song hundreds of years ago and it still bangs among the old and young people, that's just mind blowing.
Old people remember it as Pathetique Mov 3
New people (except classical loving teens and kids) know it as Beethoven Virus thanks to Sheet Music Boss
It's true music, nothing like the crap that's produced en masse nowadays
I can’t believe the very first piano teacher I had at the age of 30 thought it was a good idea for me to start learning the Sonata Pathetique after my very first lesson. It took me a year of lessons to learn, and chose to play all 3 movements for our very last lesson before she was to leave going back overseas. Listening to this final movement takes me back to a time when I once had a feeling of great accomplishment. I missed her so much after that and so did the whole world. Rubbish piano. I wish I played this well. Listening to you play this makes me realise how much more I still had to learn, and also realise the pain and horror I must have put my teacher through listening to me playing for our final lesson all those years ago. It would explain a lot that happened since then. Some people like you, I believe, simply... just get it. You play great and well done. An accomplished pianist!
Please don't reduce their hardwork and effort to they "simply just get it", that does not exist.
Great my daughter can play no problem but she's been playing since 5, you must be a genius to play this after 1 year of training
@@erickanew I was a poorly self taught closet hobby pianist for many years before that until one day I thought it a good idea to maybe get some much needed lessons. This piece consumed me for a whole year and played it terribly for my teacher only to never play it again. Its a piece that you cant leave unfinished once you start, or maybe I just didn’t know how to quit but I tried very hard and practised a lot to have it done before she left. It became the most important thing to me. In the end though, what felt like an accomplishment turned to be a complete musical failure, and what I believed was a year I would always remember….had become one taking many years to forget. Not a genius in any way lol
Well done to you and your daughter! Starting her young helps!
And thanks everyone! Thanks for taking the time to read and all your likes! Never expected it
I was just thinking about this piece, looks like you read my mind...
One of the most incredible pieces interpreted by one of the most incredible pianist :)
Agreed! She sounds so nice! The technique is good and the phrasing is perfect
Commenting to boost this in the CZcams algorithm
In my other account, kassia stuff started appearing on my recommendations, though I often watch memes
Can you expect what piece I will play for 200k?
Great Triumphal Fantasy in Brazilian National Anthem By Gottschalk hahahaha :)
Title: “Beethoven Pathetique Sonata”
My Brain: “Beethoven Pathetic Sona- wait wha?
I think that, at the time this was composed, ''pathetique'' could be translated to ''passionate''

I see you're a man of culture as well.
This movement fits so well with her light, delicate playing style. It's one of the best renditions I've heard.
So ZUN was inspired by this to make Septette for the dead Princess.
aka Remilia Scarlet’s ost.
Yeah when was the first time i hear Remilia's theme I said 'Hey is this Beethoven?'
I played this song last year for a concert and it went very well. It’s been a year now and wow I can’t remember how to play it for the life of me. I’m impressed with younger me for being able to play it and now it’s impossible 😂
Omg same here. I played this as one of my college auditions pieces. It’s been years now and I’m relearning it but shit, it’s really hard.
@urlocalperv i can but don’t rly have the incentive to. It’s a nice piece but not something Id just feel like playing out of the blue. I do t play seriously anymore so I’m not gonna go through headaches relearning it
it do be like that
given a year most of us forget how to play mostly everything
"He is as sensitive as his music."
"Can he really not hear anything?"
"Nothing, Madame. He's stone deaf."

Uh... it comes from a movie trailer called "Louis van Beethoven". It's new.
Wow. I listen to this and I always think that somebody of Beethoven’s time could’ve never written this. It’s so ahead of its time. Beautiful interpretation (also I’m learning the first mvmt myself)
This was remade as "Beethoven Virus", which was remade into "Beathoven".
NO. This is "Septette for the Dead Princess" before the millennium changed.

Oh, and codeword "is".
"is" means that something works at this moment.
"was" means something has been done for a certain amount of time.

I hope you understand the basics of grammar now.
I really enjoy your versions of Beethoven's pieces. This particular one is the first I've ever learned of Beethoven's sonatas so I have a strong link with it, and you played it very beautifully !
Beautiful, as always....... I personally think it's quite hard to nail this piece, but you did it! Keep up the good work...
This piece actually is one of the reasons why I started learning the Piano. Wonderful piece, wonderful performance!
I really appreciate how this form of representation of the Score reflects the polyphonic features of this rondo. Thank you for your musicianship and this wonderful interpretation. Also thanks for making music fun!

Bravo nunca vi uma interpretação como essa. Parabéns Kassia.
"Most replayed: 0:01" yeah you better believe it baby
I love these vids, much easier to really follow the music and the compositional ideas behind it, even easier than with sheets, because you can follow each phrase on the keyboard as its played. On top of that - great performance! Played with clarity, precision and great emotions! Thank you for this!!
He wrote this when he was 27 and I love this piece, all the movts are fun to play. They all have powerful parts the speak to the soul

Yesss finally! Beautifully played, such an amazing sonata. You're totally nailing these Beethoven sonatas and I love it... You're probably the fastest growing piano channel and playing such pieces is contributing alot to it !
I know that Beethoven is your favorite piece. I am happy that you like this performance. Always thank you, Eljo!!:)💕
@@Kassiapiano Beethoven was the first romantic and the most genius/revolutionary composer. His pieces are as important as Bach's. He started to completely move away from the baroque style writing and exploring new styles, Beethoven doesn't have many melodies rather it's a style of writing. Rubinstein said the best "melody" of Beethoven is that of the Moonlight 1st mvt..... Beethoven really was the greatest followed by Liszt
I think kassia has some of the the best tone and musicality ive ever heard
Sonata No. 8 in C minor "Pathetique" op. 13 mvt. 3 es magnífico.
Magnífica pieza.
Awesome interpretation kassia. Your piano skills never fail to amaze me. I wish to be as cool as you one day!

And I'm also glad you're almost at 200k Kassia!!! Much love and success❤🎹🎶🖒

Wow, I’m earlier than usual.
This piece builds up more and more tension, then suddenly calms down, and finally gives you a slap in the face with the last bars, I Love it!
I always thought this piece would fit a duel between two Nobles.
Thank you for your performance! ;}
POV: you’re a magical shrine maiden in a magical land in Japan that is separated from the outside world that after beating a doorkeeper kung fu master, a female dio maid and a asthmatic librarian you confront a 500 year old vampire in her haunted mansion and this song plays along.
No but for reals, incredible performance! Beethoven music is for me one of the most awesome and also relaxing music that I heard. He was truly ahead of his time, and if it weren’t for his music, we probably wouldn’t have such awesome remixes (like ZUNs one from the Touhou Project) and also we would not have evolved much in our music! Bravo!
We each are born to play a part… and even love and hate are blind.
The truth is etched on every heart… and only Fate can change your mind.
Your feeble stars are shifting soon… It isn’t nearly any fun
To know the world beneath the moon… and nothing underneath the sun.
For one like you who bears the chain… who lives in fear of destiny,
The changing world is to remain… enveloped in a mystery.
過去にこの曲を弾いたことがありますが、技術が未熟だったのでこんな素晴らしい演奏を聞くと、自分の演奏が恥ずかしくなります。
