Had no idea their drummer was doing cleans…that’s so damn cool. These guys kick ass.
I figured that out at a show last year and was super impressed. He’s also a singer in a band called knife dance. Newer band and more post hardcore style.
What's most impressive about this band is their complete at home comfort in smaller, intimate venues like this..... mixed with their total professional ability to command and own massive stages as well.

100%. Only reason he needs the click track is for the vocals lol. He's got that old school groove and swagger that's been lost over the years with the need and obsession with "performing the album".
Saw an interview with the band where they said he's not even primarily a drummer, just an all round great musician who can turn his hand to anything.
He can! He’s played guitar, done vocals, records and mixes on tons of projects. He’s the definition of a true musician

@@MatthewSparks For me a huge part of it is that it's poorly mastered and kinda shoe horned into the album. Segues and stuff... if they do it right it works for me... if it ends up sounding oddball and adjacent Im all good.

This band has a traditional feel while still using all of the modern tech of metal today. Tim is also a machine.

I had question, so why's your mixing so fucking good and sounds proper , but there's a Festival Concert channel on this youtube that had (sometimes) bad mixing. do you have any idea on that one ?, comparing your mixing to some of them is like heaven and hell.
Guessing festivals are livestreams, Leo does his thing and post it..

cus Leo is a beast. But most festivals they livestream the sets with audio that was mixed at the venue itself. Its optimised to sound good at the venue and not in recording. thats prob why.
Board direct feeds are usually quite drum and vocal heavy, meanwhile I take all the raw tracks home and put 2-4 hours of mixing into it for CZcams specifically
