When I saw the Soft Boys mentioned in the subtitles, I shouted "WHOA WHOA WAIT A MINUTE STEPHEN YOU'RE A FAN OF THE SOFT BOYS OOOOOHHHH MY GOD." Seriously, I've always wondered if Stephen was a fan of Robyn's work, and now I finally have the answer. My two favorite musicians are connected musically. Sort of. This is too awesome. P.S. I'd probably hemorrhage if they ever played a gig together. At like, I don't know, Mississippi Studios or something. Some place small. That would be unbelievable.
Could you imagine if Justine had joined the band and how different their music would be? I'm picturing something like the Jicks mixed with that one song Malkmus did with Elastica, which would be fucking awesome.

When you interview people you can't take your own hypotheses and try to get the artists to confirm them. "Yeah, whatever you said" is the best answer you'll get. We want to hear about what Malkmus thinks of his records not what Charlotte Roche wants Malkmus to think of his records.
This is the worst interview ever. This woman basically says: "Your album does this. Agree? Yes or no." Malkmus: "Yeah you're right." (When can I get out of this shit interview) No open ended questions what so ever. And the noise in the background wtf?
