    Thank You so much for this presentation Patrick. I learned Buteyko breathing from you 2 years ago and I have been off my asthma inhaler for that long, after nearly 20 years of needing one. I use the mini breath holds at night when in bed, even in my sleep as I sometimes have one nostril that blocks up, but the mini breath holds clear my nose almost immediately. I started seriously meditating after learning Buteyko Breathing purely because of the mindfulness of breath and I am delighted that you refer to this in this presentation. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and this invaluable information. I also have the best sleeps I have ever had in my life :) 🙏💖

    Thank you so much for publishing this 👍🏼 I'll be signing up for a trainer course sometime this spring I'm sure of it.
    Side note: I use a small patch of kinesio tape, about 2x1cm in the center of my lips at night. It holds really well and is easy enough to remove in the morning. The downside is it only comes in crazy colors like lime green and hot pink.

    20 years stuck in my own head too, imagine at 13, tumbling down the rabbit whole until your early 30s to realise that breathing patterns etc. can fix you after believing you were depressed and unaware of the anxieties control, you sit on that 20 years you can be a dark person, the doctor's throw tablets at you, such a shame i wasted so long but we can only make the most of now.

    Thank you for a great presentation. Could you tell me how long your deep sleep needs to be to consider it OK?

    • @OxygenAdvantage
      @OxygenAdvantage  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Hi @greenmindfulketo8371
      According to sources, about 13 to 23 percent of your sleep should be of the deeper kind.
      So, if you get 8 hours sleep, you should be getting somewhere between one hour and just under two hours of deep sleep.

    Hi Patrick I had a quick question! What’s your advice for nose breathing while in conversation/ socialising? I find that with the mouth breathing of talking my nose becomes clogged up and then it’s very difficult to resort back to nose breathing even while the other person is talking. Any help would be massively appreciated thank you for all you do!

    • @OxygenAdvantage
      @OxygenAdvantage  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi Luke. It's important to practice breathe light exercises and strong breath holds (if suitable) on a daily basis. It's natural to mouth breathe while talking, however when you are listening to the other person, slow down the speed of air coming in and out of the nostrils, it will be easier to get air in that way. Hope this helps.
      Regards,
      Darren

    Does being overweight affect how you breathe?

    Patrick I have a question for you. Since there aren't really any nitric oxide nasal sprays available for the U.S. yet, can an oral spray like the brand "Spray For Life" and their product Nitric Oxide blend, be as effective as a nitric oxide nasal spray, or if it goes through mouth it doesn't work as well or at all? I see also the brand saNOtize has a nasal spray coming out through Enovid but it contains sodium nitrite in the ingredients, isn't that harmful to inhale and damaging? Thanks Patrick please let me know if you can about both.

    • @OxygenAdvantage
      @OxygenAdvantage  Před 2 lety +4

      Hi. We don't advise using sprays. We use breath holds to help open up the airway. Use you nose, it's free :)
      Regards,
      Darren

      @@OxygenAdvantage Thanks, but my questions is more towards nitric oxide production and not really opening up the airway. But would you know when doing the humming breathing what it takes to produce, I think he said 3,000 parts per billion, potency ? Is that produced from one long hum for 10 plus seconds or doing a certain about of hums at 10+ seconds at a time for say 5 minutes to produce that potency amount of nitric oxide ? My second questions would be do you know the potency in parts per billion needed of nitric oxide to kill off any viruses including covid, would you know ?
