The most important thing that should be on everyone mind currently should be to invest in different sources of income that doesn't depend on the government. Especially with the current economic crisis around the word. This is still a good time to invest in various stocks, Gold, silver and digital currencies

The key to big returns is not big moving stocks. It's managing risk in relationship to reward. Having the correct size on and turning your edge as many times as necessary to reach your goal. That holds true from long term investing to day trading.

Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others, as an investor, you should’ve known that by now, nothing beats experience and that’s final, personally I had to reach out to a market analyst for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to a million, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I’m buying again

It's not difficult, but you have to learn and handle. Another thing is that if you can't manage your home, maybe you shouldn't invest on your own. If so, you should hire a CFP to help you diversify your assets to include ETFs/index funds/mutual funds and stocks of companies with consistent cash flows, rather than betting on penny stocks.

A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for license advisors and came across someone of due diligence, helped a lot to grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to approx. $850k so far.

Stock market’s historical performance estimate that over time, the payment (and reinvestment, and compounding) of dividends have contributed anywhere from 30% to 90% of the S&P 500’s total returns. I want to spread $400,000 into profit yielding dividend equities but unsure of which to get into.

All are good schemes but one thing all recommenders forgot to mention is what will happen in case of death of the first bond / FD holder. Then you have no choice but to dissolve the scheme at penalty and re-invest.
I experienced this when my father passed away last year. He had invested 15 lakhs in senior citizen scheme at 8.2% and within a month he passed away. Though my mother was a joint holder, income tax rules dont permit earning interest income on dead person's PAN. So we had to break the FDs at high penalty n reinvest in my mother's name.
If the widow is completely dependent on such interest income then such penalty will be hard initially to bear. Fortunately my mother had other FD incomes and could bear the loss without any great burden.
My request to govt is that if its making schemes for senior citizens then dont keep penalty for withdrawal when made in case of unforseen reasons like extreme illness or death. After all, a senior citizen saves his money for such reasons only n when govt asks for high lock in periods of 5-7 years, govt knows it will benefit from penalty interest as several cases will be affected by death or illness.

Friend you have made mistake that is in your account had you made nomination then in case of death of investor nominee get full money without penalty. I had received full money from my father's SCSS account after his death which was before the maturity, without penalty. Since I was nominee.

You are only talking about nominee. What if there are joint holders alongwith a nominee ? Then there is no choice but to break the FD coz otherwise the deceased person's income will continue to attract tax which is not allowed after 1 year.
There are 2 possibilites here : no 1 is if the deceased was not paying tax while alive, then this whole problem goes away.
No 2 is if the second joint holder is not paying tax even after recieving the FD interest in their account. Then income tax prblm dsnt trouble you.
For all others, beware if you are joint holders. For nominee there is no prblm.

Any schemes for senior citizens should not have penalty on withdrawal. Whatever rate is offered is greatly affected when penalised.
Also, dont forget that all interest income is taxable. So that will again eat into your rate of interest. Your 8.2% scheme will reduce if taxed.

In present scenario of indian economy markets looks will keep moving up may be more than 12 %. If you can take.this risk then it's better option.
