This show is incredible, everything about it. As soon as I finished watching it, I knew this song could somewhat work.

I noticed something beautiful. When Crowley screams “Someone killed my best friend!”, he straightens up, taken aback as if he didn’t mean to say it. Realization fully sets into him as he says it. He doesn’t want to believe that he’s lost Aziraphale. It’s both utterly heartbreaking and heartwarming because it shows how much he truly does love Aziraphale.
Yeah. That moment there is one of my favourites of the whole show!

And then "so sorry to hear it" sounds like Azirephale genuinely doesn't know that Crowley meant him.
It might just be the clip but he cuts himself off when he realizes what he just said. Like "someone killed my best frien-!"
That scene were Crowley came out of the ring of fire waving at the people was hilarious

WAIT BEFORE THEY SWITCH BACK Crowley was in Aziraphale's bookshop and saw the red books and said they were new... he's been in there enough to know when something changes 😭 I don't know why but it makes me emotional
Well they have probably been in that shop for so many years. And If Aziraphale only collects old books, it might be easy to realise when someit has changed!
I almost didn't realize/pay attention to that the first time I watched the show. Then I was in bed, trying to fall asleep as one does and my brain sorta went "psst, you know that was CROWLEY in the shop with the red books not Aziraphale, right?" And I was like "Gee thanks, I'm not sleeping NOW, am I???"
i wonder if, when Crowley says “Stuff happened, I lost my best friend” and Aziraphale replies with “so sorry to hear that”, does Aziraphale even realize Crowley means him? It seems obvious, but he replies as though he doesn’t realize.
I know.... like surely he knows.
I put it down to British people avoiding direct discussion of emotional topics. Do Angels have nationalities;)?
What if it’s aziraphale not knowing that Crowley considers his as a best friend and thinks he’s talking about someone else,,,,,,,,,?
Clouded Thoughts the timing is too close. They have been working together for 11 years. Even in the 70s the line was “you go too fast for me.” He was in denial but not toatally oblivoius:)
I know I’m kinda late to this but Crowley before says I’m with an old friend so many ppl think that Azira thinks that’s whose died? Hope it helps 😂

Maybe because Crowley is finally understanding that they are friends. And Aziraphale is finally understanding that they aren't just a demon and angel, even though he tries to keep reminding himself that?
