My head canon is that the reason Iris doesn’t show up in the later games is because her sentence was still pretty long, given the fact that she was indeed an accomplice to a murder. But I firmly believe Phoenix still visits her whenever he gets a chance, telling her about raising Trucy, as well as his work with his apprentices Apollo and Athena.
Would that apply to godot as well?

My issue with that theory is that Adrian Andrews served maybe a year in prison for altering a crime scene, and Iris did it at the behest of a prosecutor, so I would think maybe her sentence would be even lighter. But I would love to see these two together again.
I mean, after what happened in the credits of TaT, it's probably what would happen, Phoenix wouldn't be staring at her like that if he didn't had feelings for her, and we know how he was with "Dahlia", so it just makes sense, but who know? Maybe she will come back. If Max and Regina, two ACTUALLY hated characters (even though i like them a lot" can, in Edgeworth Investigations 2, i think, than why wouldn't Iris come back? You knok? So she probably will, maybe it would be a situation where Trucy meets her, for an example, and they have that little thing between "the girl that loves Phoenix and his daughter helping eachother" or something like that, it would be cool

Iris is one of my favorite Ace Attorney characters! Especially because even years after Dahlia's murder plot Iris was still in love with Phoenix, And the fact that she called him "Feenie" at the end is proof of that!

also her name is dahlia hawthorne cuz "dahlia" is a flower in arabic and in english "hawthorn" had THORN in it
so its basically saying that she looks like a flower but she's actually a thorn that will stick to you, which is pretty accurate to her personality

Although in the game we can come to her in the detention center as much as we like, but we will (probably) never find out any information about her future fate. It's a pity, but it's logical to assume that she is quite a potential wife of Phoenix Wright.
I would argue that was originally implied since Phoenix's story was supposed to end after T&T so they threw in a potential waifu, he may eventually settle down with, at the end, but alas they didn't want to part with him afterwards so we got forever alone single father Phoenix now.

@@darkacadpresenceinblood Yeah, it's the reason why I also don't like the Apollo Justice game, due to Phoenix being ruined in it (thanks to Capcom, not Shu).
Haven't seen Dual Destinies or Spirit of Justice yet, but I've seen the trilogy, TGAA and the Investigations games and they are definitely the top games by far.
But yeah, I was letdown, that Iris is never brought up and just forgotten about, same with a lot of the characters later on (proves how rushed and a last minute change Phoenix was to Apollo Justice).

Just my story.
After the game, when I realized that the popular ship is tirteworth, I did not understand why and still do not understand why this happened. That's why I decided to give something in contrast to tirteworth and created the fanfiction "Turnabout of love" in objection.lol. To be honest, I turned out to be a bad writer. My friend discovered a lot of plot holes. Although the music video for him turned out great back then! Well, I also had a pretty good experience working in objection.lol. I don't think I will decide to make "Turnabout of love 3.0".
It's hard to fix fan fiction, and I had other ideas for videos that could be interesting to everyone, not just Phoenix x Iris shippers.

It's quite sad even at later event we don't see Wright and Iris together, they really love each other. Imagine they're raising Trucy together, that would be lovely. But also maybe for the greater good, Wright made a lot of enemies and sometime along the way they could've target Iris instead.
It would've been cool to see maybe in SoJ where they emphasized a lot about Spirit Mediums where Iris showed up after 8 years of being sentenced. Like a big surprise reveal and she looks a Phoenix and her feelings of him are as strong as ever before aiding in a case.
Unfortunately, Capcom doesn't Care what anyone has to say.
And furthermore, Capcom specifically avoids giving any Main characters Love Interests.
I feel like they’ve just been through so much it’d be difficult. Dahlia did so much harm to them, and Iris definitely messed up in pretending to be Dahlia throughout their relationship… It’s a shame though, because I love Iris a lot :( I feel like they both still harbor feelings towards each other, but the time for that has unfortunately passed. They could still be close though, Iris would be really sweet towards Trucy, I’m sure!
Won't be surprised if he actually has a kid with Iris, and never revealed for there own safety.

nah Mayas mother channeled dahlia so pearl wouldn't channel her. Godot then killed Mayas mother as she was channeled as Dahlia to protect Maya.

I ship Phoenix x Iris, I sometimes imagine them getting married (In my headcanon, Iris is released from prison after 'Turnabout Time Traveler').
A shame that can't happen. Larry pretty much ruined it for Phoenix, Edgeworth, Maya, Ema and Athena. Because he caught the bouquet, he has to get married first. And we all know that's never gonna happen

in the Localization of the game Ace attorney: Trials and Tribulations, the case takes place in the US, specifically California.
Iris would be found guilty of Accessory After the Fact depending on the nature of the crime which would be 2nd degree murder, and desecration of human remains.
In Pursuant to California Penal Code section 32, accessory after the fact for a felony crime has a 3 year prison sentence.
and in Pursuant to California Health and Safety Code section 7050.5-7055 chapter 2, desecration of remains is also a felony with a 5 year prison sentence. I imagine Edgeworth could knock the accessory charge down to a misdemeanor considering the circumstances. Desecration on the other hand wouldn't be ignored. So Iris would likely spend 6 years in prison, getting out right before Apollo Justice.
If Edgeworth chose not to, then she would spend eight years in prison, getting out during Dual Destinies.
This sounds kinda poetic, I would love for Capcom to bring her back as Phoenix's love interest if they decide to make Ace Attorney 7
And the years she spent out of the picture would be justified

I’m pretty certain she wasn’t calling him “baby”, but rather the nickname “Feenie” which is from the game
Another piece of supporting evidence for this is that in the Japanese she says “Ryu-Chan” which would be a nickname of Phoenix’s original name Naruhodo Ryuji.

If Wrightworth ever becomes an official thing instead of Nick and Iris, since I’ve heard some same-sex couples actually do this, I think it would be sweet and important if Iris offered to bear Phoenix’s child so he and Miles can raise them (with occasional visits), but also preserve the Naruhodo/Wright bloodline.
The series is dead, Shu Takumi doesn't want to make games anymore and Yamazaki's team disbanded.
