Thanks was wondering about the diamonds as I have a mixed bunch too. I am really enjoying this game and a I love the NPC chat it has me in hysterics and even with some of the bugs it just makes funny. I have Bob and I never know what shenanigans he will be up to next 😂
I cant stand the system where you lose your controlled npcs i know you can get the revive thing but im not there yet spent like 5 hours grinding skills on a guy and rolled into a corner and got pinned by enemies and lost him.. very annoying you can die so easily by random stuff like that. do you know if there is a setting in single player mode where you can turn that feature off? i would love that..
For anyone confused about the diamonds on a barbarian. They are a rarity and effects their traits. In general a red diamond will have better traits at higher tiers and have less of a chance to have negative traits. Their title effects stats. In general a master will have above 100 in several stats. So a Red diamond Master has the best chances to be amazing. With that being said...... It is possible to roll a terrible red diamond on traits and possible to score perfectly with a white. The chances are just more rare to go that way. Novice, skilled, and master are also a sort of craps shoot, but less so than perks. In most cases masters will have several skills in their given profession to be above 100, where as a novice will likely have none over 90. None of it guaranteed. All of it random, but its a way to attempt to control the random. Hope this helps! Good luck out there!

This games looks so interesting... I was thinking of picking up either Medieval Dynasty or Enshrouded during the current Steam Fest, but now Soulmask is another contender... difficult choose😩
@@SoggyTreks More than 40% of Steam reviewers have put in more than 30 hours in Enshrouded (20% 50+ hours). That's a solid enough experience for me, especially because I'm very much into the building which is definitely way better there and ads a lot of extra playtime for me. In the end, I grabbed both Enshrouded and MD. I'll get around to Soulmask without a doubt, looks great fun with some jank, I'll let the first wave of players deal with reporting the much needed QoL updates etc. There will be better sales in the future too :)
Here's a random guy's opinion (oh, wait thats me! 😂): You should drop MD (if you haven't played over 2hrs/owned for 2wks, Steam refund policy) and get Soulmask. You won't be disappointed. Plus, I don't have anyone to play with when playing my pc games 😳...😂 👍🏾
Hi Kiah, thanks for this very informative guide. Re the followers, when I end their deployment is it possible to make them go back to where I last told them to stand, i.e. go back to base. So many times I have been out in the world I befriended a new one & have to have take them to base 1 at a time. Very time consuming & annoying. Thanks.
Hi one question I lost my tribe man he was lvlup 33 but when I remodel respawn him he came back as a lvl 20 do we always loose all progression when we die / respawn our favorite combat tribesman?
Kiah, I raided the camp to get an Alpaca. I ended up taming several Tribespeople. I want all to follow me, but it will only let me deploy one at a time. Is there any way to deploy a group of them? (ARK style follow all)...THX
i have seen outcast leaders with red diamond. but i dont know how to deter them since doing it regularly (lowering hp) doesnt work and i have died multiple times trying to do it. can they be detered or no?
Hey just a heads up, it seems like the green perks come every 10 levels. So a lvl 10-19 will have one, 20-29 2 etc, at 50 they have 5. So what I'm trying to focus on is getting good proficiency caps, the extra gold perks etc.

I also try and get as many "Master" characters, because their type & type level (eg. master hunter) gives them different skills aswell (some skills are hunter-exclusive for example, and I believe the more skilled they are, the higher those can get as well)
Is there a way to release them? I saw that the max is 9 that you can have so if ou have lvl 4-5s and want to replace them what? just control and let them die in battle?

As a little correction, you can raise the proficiency caps on your main body to atleast 70 through the mask. When beating one of the bosses, the additional node it unlocks has 2 tiers, each increasing the proficiency cap by +10. Not sure if the remaining nodes also have a cap increase as i've yet to kill every boss, and 70 is still less than the 120 to get all the perks from a skill but it's enough for 2/4 of them i guess.
Early game I do the Salt Pan, get good teens level Flint Tribesman. I also raid various Outcast bases; you will find hidden gems there for crafting, maybe not so much for combat companions.

Not hard enshrouded is pretty finite. Soulmask is a better game in many ways. I just removed enshrouded off my pc.

Are stats/traits on tribesman completely random, or do you want to kidnap tribe from certain locations for better chances at better traits?

how to reset tribemember attributes? it cant use reset potion with mask on or from inventory.

They changed the diamond to be more stylized. Focus on color, not shape.
I noticed that your at level 28 str and your building is in stone. Can't you get stone unlocked at level 30 str? Or is that a cheat your using?
