    I think you are right, Khmer bor bor (actually pronounced bawbaw) is probably the best form of rice porridge because of the accoutrements we put in them).

    Streeet food is the bread and butter of Phnom Penh 100% better than restaurant in my opinion. Food is good and cheap as heck. i recommend you to get some bbq stuff on this street vendor, you won't regret it

    That coffee (I can tell by the illustration on the package) is what’s colloquially-known as Weasel Coffee. Apparently, there is a species of wild civet cat that ingests coffee beans and then poops them out, essentially undigested. These are then collected and ground and somehow the resulting coffee made from these “pre-eaten” beans is more mild and delicious. So you drank coffee brewed from beans pooped out by a civet cat!

      Not my first time drinking civet poop coffee. Also, one time in Vietnam I ate civet, and eventually I pooped the civet out. So civet, poop, and I go way back.

      Pollution is sometimes bad. A lot of construction, which causes a lot of dust. Quality meat will cost you. But fruits and veg are good.

    Most Khmers wear their muzzles, but it's worse in Thailand. Thailand is so indoctrinated with mask wearing it will be impossible for most Thais to stop wearing those things.

    I came back from a trip to Cambodia last week and observed that mask wearing was a much bigger thing in Phnom Penh than elsewhere (eg Siem Reap, Kampot). I'd assumed that mask wearing might be more of a thing generally because of the poor air quality.

      I think that is somewhat true, but it's also much more policed than other places in Cambodia. In Kampot, I'd say 30% of people are wearing masks.

      When people visit to Cambodia 🇰🇭, generally they return with their experience with Angkor ( largest city in pre-industrial world), food or something about the Khmer people. And you got mask wearing. If you are so engrossed about mask wearing, have you been to Vietnam, Thailand, South Korea??? These countries are even more strict. These countries react appropriately to health pandemic that is caused by airborne diseases.

      @@stephenguy3901 I love hearing some Khmer words in the videos, even when the words were all pronounced as written in with Latin letters. Since Ryan lives there now, I would love to hear him pronouncing the words properly, at least try to pronounce them as the locals do. In this video, to name two in particular, the name of the market does not sound anything close to the Jeopardy host’s name, another is porridge. This was not a criticism, but a suggestion to Ryan.
