@@DrummerGhisi is mostly the most easy way to do it, and you can even do it by hand if you just press the buttons at the same time without moving, and i can swear that one time i enter to a blank area(glitchless and it was more like the map wasn't showing but you can walk and that) using one of the gravity pillars and double jump in the cave of smiles(and having a lot of hp, i remember there was a fall is supposed to not survive, but i endup exploring the place until i run out of healings and died by fall).

It helps to play with low equip load, in Salt and Sanctuary not just your roll gets worse, but you also get slower and have a slightly shorter jump with every level of encumbrance.
gonna be honest, i didnt have that much fun with this game. i really disliked the way they did the upgrade and equipment system. i just felt... i dunno, boring. and the least i speak about the magic system, the better. unfortunately, not for me.
This is actually an amazing game, and I got extremely addicted to it. The controls aren't bad, and it's common sense in 2D platformers to not jump where you can't see the bottom.

Matteo Monellini when I did my first mage run I used wands then I realized that wands kinda suck. They do offer more versatility. With weaponry and less with spells. It's not that bad when you pair a wand with branding Iron so it's pretty fun.

In fact, it wasn't kind of helpful because if one player gets far enough away from the other, they can jus open up their menu and teleport right to the other player without taking any fall damage. It was really nice being able to save yourself from what would otherwise be a bunch of instant death experiences.

the difficulty in this game is all over the place honestly. It starts off fair and difficult, then drops to easy for a while, then spikes up to bullshit, then immediately back down to easy, and then spikes hard for witch of the lake, and then back down to easy for like the rest of the game.
Haha, yeah Tree of Men can be a huge nightmare if you've got a short range weapon. Used a dagger myself until I could create the first swordwhip, extra hilarity when you beat the Kraekenwyrm and talk to the thief. "A dagger against a dragon?" or somesuch. love the playstyle but I like weird weapons like swordwhips so I just had to use one :)
I have never seen anyone suck at the platforming that much... seriously why roll off of so many playforms? Also you could parry the knights to kill them faster and you went through all that effort to join the betrayers creed yet you didn't even rank up your devotion once?? I do agree that the game could use more boss music but for a game made by pretty much two people, it came out pretty good
Feels like he rushed to game to me, it is a pretty short game but even so I had over 200 hours on it. This is a great game for a 2 person studio, personally myself I’ve never had any problems with the controls.

My first character was a sorcerer but I just used greatswords until I found the betrayers then I used their spells

This entire video is absolute CONTENT. I think this is the first time I've laughed myself into a headache.
I used a spear for most of the game. Tree of Men was a fun boss because of that.
I used a shotgun and a swordwhip. Similarly good fun :P (And kind of broken)

God I love SaltNSanctuary. Definitly one of the best mixes of gameplay and story, that, in the 2d world, may even beat dark souls.
