Yeah, it's because they had an audio engineer clean up the raw audio and perform production surgery to make it sound album quality. The vocals have a pitch correction effect with the detune setting pretty low in whatever major key the singer is in that way it's not too jumpy or t-pain sounding, but it's still noticeable. Also... their backing vocals are still present live and they sing along to themselves... another industry technique. Singing everyday on tour wears the vocal chords down, they do this so he doesn't have to belt it out so much and helps them last longer during their set.
Hearing this in concert form in a crowd of people who love it just as much is insane

@@huntercrispy That's because it's fake. Samples on the drums, re tracked guitars, and heavy bad auto tune on every vocal. This mix is great, but sounds the furthest from how anyone would sound live.

emodro I don’t think that’s “fake” that’s just audio engineering. The guitars aren’t retracked. Vocals sound like that in chorus bc they are layered in the track they’re playing to. The snare for sure has a trigger with a sample, but that’s not bad??? It’s just enhancing the sound. This a great mix!!!

Can we talk about how good their voices sound? Many bigger bands don't care about singing when they have backing tracks, I love that they really sing.
