Oh my gosh! I spent so much time this morning mapping out my month in my planner. It was necessary for my sanity, but so much of it was recurring events and that’s where digital calendars have the advantage. But now you’re telling me I could enter those dates into a digital calendar and then they will print into the Golden Coil Planner???! Mind blown! 🤯 Plus I could in effect have them include a back-up of my digital contacts?! This is going to the top of my list of planners to check out when it’s time to buy a new one. Thank you so much for the thorough review.

Golden Coil is the only planner I have to use now. It has made it possible to have everything in one place - work, life, food, fitness, budget. It’s incredible. I ended up with a two page weekly with 2 pages of lines after each week to take notes on for work. All my meeting notes are connected to the week the meeting happened. It’s life changing! Obsessed. Worth every penny.

I am so happy you did this review, I’m super excited to use my Golden Coil planner for 2020! I wasn’t impressed with the paper quality since I could see ghosting of the page behind it pretty bad, but I'm happy to know that you think it is really high quality paper. I wish they let us use some of the extra pages quarterly (they only do beginning of planner, weekly, monthly, or end of planner). And I wish they would let us determine what order to put all the extra papers… Lastly, I wish they would give us options to customize the monthly layout as well! Those would be my requests!

List management for example current to dos, the “oh crap” i just remembered i need to do this “some time” - how you use your planners - i got an academic passion planner and I’m on the fence - i do most of my personal stuff end of day or lunch or weekends
Hey:). I do have some videos on how I personally plan on my "Updates" playlist. I have been trying to give quarterly updates there of what I am planning in and a little bit of how I plan. I have a video under that playlist about how I use a weekly planner + a daily planner together. I also share some of this on Instagram. I feel like my list system is always changing every few months so Instagram is a good place to update. But I will keep it in mind to make a CZcams video about this in 2020. I keep one big master monthly list and usually a weekly list too---which I just work off of;). Now where I keep those Monthly & weekly lists is the thing that changes depending on what daily planner I am using at the time;)
Hi. Thanks for your review. I just oredered the Navy buffalo check. Couldn't decide on the leather or linen, but went with the linen. There are not any reviews on the leather, so wasn't sure about the material. It took me quite a while to decide the layout, but I'm excited can't wait to get it. It is such an amazing planner IMO:)
I love that these planners are neutral. But the daily version makes little sense. First, they separate Saturday and Sunday. These are the two days when I do my home and personal tasks. The lined page would make more sense as a pre-planning page for the week. So if they combined lined+ Monday, Tuesday+Wednesday, Thursday+Friday and Saturday and Sunday it would be more helpful

Have you considered the plum paper daily planner? It’s kinda similar to Amanda’s daily pages. 😁 They are very customizable as well.
I used to use Plum Paper. They have some good options;)
I love the weekly layouts! I love the hardcover color options and those coils! I all ready have the kitlife planner and a happy planner but i don't know im kind of loving this one. Not sure about the color of paper though

These are such lovely planners. I hope they will be successful in the US. I feel that the country's currency strength and page expense will work against them - e.g, I have to convert x1.5 to get my dollar, and postage is usually usd20+, and this paper looks heavy! I'm not trying to hate on any company - I guess paper products will always be a pain to ship.

I have reviewed Agendio before too. And Personal Planner I have reviewed and you can design your own there too. Out of the 3 my personal favorite is Golden Coil....but that is just a personal preference.
Hmmmm 🤔🤔🤔🤔 I'm still unsettled on a work planner. Will take a look and see if Golden Coil will fit the bill. The ability to add pages has my attention. For your daily planner have you considered using a Stalogy notebook?
I haven't considered Stalogy but I have used notebooks before:) A work planner in GC....that sounds amazing;)

Me again :) Is there a discount code for this planner? I think this would work really well since space planner doesn't ship to Canada. However, with the exchange this is pretty pricey . Just wondering if a discount code is an option for this planner. thanks much! Love your videos by the way!
I wish I had a code for you:( I don't have one...Golden Coil doesn't give out codes much as far as I know. They do run periodic very small sales (like 7% off) and they announce that on their Instagram. I announce their sales in my stories on Instagram too when I see one. They don't happen often, but I bet black Friday/cyber Monday might be one time they have one (11/29 & 12/2).

Hey Amanda, in your opinion which paper quality is better in Golden Coil or Unbound ?
Golden Coil is 80# which equals 120gsm. Unbound is listed at 100gsm which equals 68#. So Golden coil is thicker paper and it has tooth. Unbound doesn't have tooth (texture) to the paper. It is smooth but not slick. It is still good paper, just not as thick as golden coil. Golden coil is slightly creamy, and unbound I would call crisp white. I hope that helps:)
Love your videos BUT where do you select the double page month at a glance page/s, with labels eg. month, date/number in each box? Like the one you show at 32:48 ? I can't find it on the website selections, in either the layout, dates, pages/calendaring, or anywhere :( :( :(
The monthly layout you don't get to or have to select. It just comes with any monthly or weekly planner. Does that make sense? When you do an entire pre-view of your planner at the end of the process you will see them in there;)

I really enjoy your videos. I went back to this one, planning for next year because I'm not so happy with what I have. I did go to the Golden Coil website, started designing my planner but had a couple questions. I did email them, but I have to give their Customer Service a fail. Do you have suggestions on how to get customer service?
You mean they never emailed you back? I've always communicated with them over DM, but they have been so helpful! I would DM them and tell them the email communication issue you are having. Let me know how that goes, I know it can be very frustrating when we don't hear back:(

I do realize it looks a lot like that. But I would be on GC paper and fonts:) I used Plum Paper several years ago and I just could never love their paper (it's thick, but too slick for me) Also I don't love their colors and they haven't changed those in years;) But I do love a lot about Plum Paper. They have so many choices:) Thanks for taking time to chat.

I dont know how you made it passed the start date section, I cant even get the webpage to accept any date range I try lol the section you missed comes right after you select start/end dates but its possible it wasnt working when you ordered.
I am so sorry you are having problems with their website. I know that is so frustrating. I would say try a different browser, and if it's still not working try to contact them.

Love your reviews and am super intrigued by this planner. I love lists and like all the extra space for lists while having a weekly view.
Lane they have recently been updating their website. I tried the other day and had a hard time too. I’m gonna give it a couple days before I browse again.

How can one justify >$60 for a planner...? I'm genuinely curious!
People have differient priorities. They spend their money on what is important to them and brings them joy and serves them well. Some get Starbucks...some buy clothes....many on this channel choose to buy planners. $60 divided by 12 months is $5 a month! $5 a month is .16 cents a Day! .16 cents a day to use an amazing quality planner. It's worth it to me. But we all have different things that are important to us. I got to Starbucks maybe twice a year, and rarely eat out, and only buy new clothes if I really need something. Because those things aren't important to me.

These are on the very high end bc you get to choose every single page of your planner and where it goes. The covers and paper are also top notch! Feels so good in hand;)
That's indeed a weird daily layout. I can't live without lines! I have terrible handwriting.
I understand. Some days I can deal with no lines and some days I am really missing them! But they have so few daily layouts none of them really clicked with me and this was the closest. They have so many weekly layouts though, and they are so versatile I could see using a weekly layout as a my daily planner;)

I did not like this planner, it looks like I could have created it myself using Excel and made a binder or a disc system without the $80 price tag. Too basic and bland.

Maybe you can do what you say with something like Pages, not with excel.
Their site is effing garbage. I followed the directions and can't get past the start/end dates selection.
