Former US president Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner is being heavily criticised for a new foreign business deal. He has secured a contract to redevelop a site in Serbia, which is a former military base that was bombed by NATO in 1999 during the Serbia-Kosovo war. Kushner will build a luxury hotel, retail space, and thousands of apartments as part of the project. However, critics in Serbia say their government is gifting the multi-million dollar redevelopment project to Americans, who are responsible for the NATO bombing campaign. Meanwhile, back in the US, Democrats are demanding a probe into Kushner's deal, alleging corruption. Recently, Kushner also made headlines when he spoke about the development potential of war-torn Gaza's "waterfront property".
