Bro, I am probably the same age as you guys. Born and brought up in Mumbai . I have seen a lot of the shows that you mentioned but not as much as you have and you remember so much. I have forgotten most of these. I am surprised to know that someone growing up in Pakistan in the 90s would be watching all these same shows. This was a nostalgic trip that you took me on.
I also remember those shows & Movies & Songs, we watched it back in karachi. Those were good time, the relationship both govt. had were not that hostile. Hope things gets better in future.
Those who are following junaid for quite a while, they know what this means to us.

I dont know bcz i was born in 2000s but i lived in the early 2010s , apparently this was the last era for tv shows , iconic snows sucj as cid etc.

I could relate to every single Indian tv show, Bollywood songs n even travelled in buses uve mentioned …. For a person like me who lives in nostalgia this podcast was such a treat to watch…. Apnee city ki beaten sun ke bohot aches laga
I am from India and I grew up in 90s and 2000s. I don't remember most of these shows they talked about except hum panch, filmi chakar and few others. I was never a Bollywood fan so can't relate to those too but I remember many Indian tv shows which aired on Doordarshan, Zeetv, Sony, SABTV and Star plus pre ekta kapoor era which were amazing. I also remember the amazing shows on cartoon network. Post ekta kapoor Indian TV was destroyed. Now, she is doing same thing to Indian OTT.
I must say few of the Pakistani specially millennials knowledge of Indian TV and Bollywood is much more than Indians
Yar i envy not being a 90s child now. I feel that 90s was so much diverse in regards to tv shows, entertainment, songs themes etc. Ab tau ek jesi cheezai hai.

Thoda snippets de deta hu jitna dekha hu. Mithun really has a hotel business in Ooty (a hill station in south India), Lilliput was actually an actor in the current MIrzapur season, the lead role of Rajni was played by Priya tendulkar, saap siri was hosted by Mohan kapoor (hate story mein jo ganja actor hain).
Interesting Trivia:Besides Lilliput Harsha Bhogle also featured on Swayamvar 2000 as the co host for a few episodes 😹😹🙈
The way the both laughed and joke is all to watch the entire video for 5/6 time or listen just while wokring and playing back on headphones.

What scared me as kid was a horror film named "RAAT" that came out in 1992, directed by Ram Gopal Verma starring Revathi and Om puri. Do check it out as it still stands as a good horror flick!

I remember that episode of mystery theater of ""Amma darwaza kholo""it was actually burnt hands and the look on that actors(mom azra sherwani) face made it so horrific .

I actually feel bad for today's kids or even early 2000's kids who cannot even fathom the freedom and the feeling that the world was so large and unknown, may childhood be in Pk. or California. Doesn't matter. Innocence lost and good friends growing up together is one of lifes best experience. 80's and 90's were best.
