He drinks and smokes and I don’t. I budget, save and invest. My granddaughter is on the same path because she is learning from me. She’s going to the same Marcia’s Cooking and Cleaning Bootcamp I went to. Once she gets her passport, I will be taking her to Panama to learn our culture. I don’t want her falling through the cracks.

If you’re making millions, I’m not living in an oversized house. I don’t want a whole bunch of people in the house. I like my peace. I would rather cook, clean and do laundry on my own. No one has to know anything about our finances. I like regular simple vehicles. My husband and I could have gotten a bigger house. I told him no because I don’t know who he thinks is going to clean 3 1/2 bathrooms. My neighbor has that size house and she’s miserable every single day. She’s always stressed and depressed giving her family and everyone else around her nothing but grief.

I know that Anton and Miss Maggie are speaking the truth. The thing is though this generation is twisted in that they call building with a man "struggle love". A lot of our mothers and grandmothers were there from the beginning. They did build with a man and the men either cheated on them or mistreated them or were just down right selfish. Today's women don't understand the sacrifice on the front end for the reward on the back end. They're fearful, they're nervous, they have trauma, and they have no faith that the benefits on the backhand will be worth it. After 18 years of marriage I know that it is worth it, but many young women don't see enough good examples of that.

That's why most women are looking for successful men, so that they get an immediate wonderful retirement plan for themselves. Also, a woman will quickly make you feel like the things you already owned when she joined immediately belong to her. Its kind of toxic.
