If you think this band glorifies war then you my friend are a complete soulless human being. The true human experience in a short 4 minutes that captured the range of emotions, the destruction and the insanity of 19th century battle tactics versus 20th century weapons. No one captures the human experience of great events like Sabaton, forget the important people in dusty history books these are the people that went through it and you experience what it was like for those lost to history but who we hope rest in peace, the peace we never seem capable of ever finding. Sadly "only the dead know the end of War" remains true today as it did across the millennia.
How one moment, how one wrong turn, the wrong place at the wrong time, changed the world forever.
Those who gave their lives for their nation in WW1 wont be forgotten. Rest in peace.
We must recognize that we too often forget the French participation which is the most important actor with Germany in the Great War (in Battlefield, France is in DLC). Finally a video on this war where we see the French army.

That's what some might think.
But their work is very valuable. With videos and the right text, you learn more about the topic than at school.
So it stays in the memory for a long time.
It can be said though, simply because war is glorious

I have seen this probably a dozen times now, and I'm amazed with the editing - frankly, I think this video is about Hitler as much as it is about the war - seeing glimpses of him throughout the video is... foreboding.

@Kojak0= I completely agree with you about how the video could be seen as a prelude to Hitlers rise through the national socialist party,and the underpinnings of mein Kemp itself..if you want to check it out,theres a video by this same channel,who is my only source of sabaton videos to watch,even more so than most of the official videos and lyric videos the band does themselves...the songs are always paired with an actual depiction of the event through movie,tv,documentary film and also actual still images of the events...they are all spot on and masterfully done,it really makes the music kick your ass even harder because of how it pulls out your emotions when you are putting yourself in the shoes and the perspective of the the amazing people and events they base thier lyrics are...I rambled on they for a while bro sorry,lmao I've just become a sabaton freak over the last 2-3 years because they always deliver and it just keeps getting bigger and better....but theres a video to the song the rise of evil by sabaton done by this channel,it documents specifically what molded his psyche And ideology through youth,war,struggle and just pure soulessness and it uses alot of the same film footage,which I think is actually a kinda recent docudrama done by CBS a while back..not sure what its called but it's awesome I thought hey,these two specific videos pretty much were intended by the creator to give us all that through-line to the plot to help put you there,in that moment in time,get into that place in your mind where you just absorb the grandeur of dying for country and kin,for honor,sacrifice and all the triumphs of the human spirit even in the face of hell.. and then the utter horror hellscapes that are bloodily ant wantonly painted on history...its amazing to me and I appreciate the thought that went into these videos,the effort and I can just tell dude cares about the stories and the people in them that fought and led the way for the rest of us to live better,more peaceful lives...he has a video for every song that I KNOW of and they are all meticulously stitched together to paint one complete,one of a kind,masterpiece!!
I watch your videos and I always notice the details and I like that he gives such secret messages in the form of Hitler from the movie Hitler Rise of Evil
The main thing is that the author did not forget to show in the clip the main consequence of the "Great War": the participation and coming to power of Adolf Aloisovich Schicklgruber.
We will never go through as much trauma then these guys that has fought in the war and survived and have to live on with knowing that they have killed someone

@@user-sf6hr6hi2t and everything just for "glory, revenge and honor lost" of his country, huh...without even imagine that he will be burying those patriotic feelings even more deeper than it was already...maybe if ww2 didn't happened then, someone else would have started it later, knowing how the remorse works....but hey, maybe Germany would've already "wounded" their scars as all the country members of the WW1 tragedy, most of those countrys today are more known but for their news on science, universities or just tourism, and that's great.
And yes, we must remember the W Wars, keep em on mind and being known, but to try, and keep trying in not repeat it again.
Throughout my family there were 20+ casualties in WW1, and so was almost every family in Serbia. There's no place for hate inside me, I just want world to understand that Serbia was fighting for the freedom of the world back then
