I mean seriously though, why not just call the hookshot the Three Dimensional Manoeuvre Gear instead? I only comment here as the comment section for that video is disabled.

The Kenn and Kaeba is a weapon is from an anime called Shingeki no Kyojin "Attack on Titan" The hookshot in the Irondwarf video is from that anime too! Good anime!

While the setting could possibly take place in Germany, Attack on Titan is Japanese. So it would make sense that the mod is Japanese.
I think the coffee machine might be a metaphor for SoI - they keep trying and trying to fix it but something keeps going wrong. But maybe its just me.
