Back once again at my favourite glacier - Sólheimajökull! After almost a year to the day from the first video shot out here, I made the trip back to showcase what has changed and to go a little further and explore some of the deeper reaches of this impressive chunk of ice on Iceland’s spectacular south coast.
Enjoy!

Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow, what a lovely day on the magical island and the colors on the ice are just stunning! Love the sounds too as the ice is cracking 🤩I want to see the glacier for myself!!!!!!!!!!! (I know I've said it a million times... one day!!)
Please come soon!
"what was once safe is now almost certain death" that cracked me up.
I cannot wait to come to Iceland. What a magical country ✨️
Let us know when you stop by!
Awesome video as always!
Glad you enjoyed! New one out now!
That glacier is so vivid blue and beautiful 💙 That was alot of work filling that crevice track but worth it! 👌 I can see why you love your job and hiking there Josh 😍
It's great fun indeed!
Awesome as ever!! Do you do tours? If not would so love to tag along on one of your adventures in 2022 :) happy holidays
Yes I do! If you're interested in tours here, please feel free to contact me via the email at the bottom of the video description.
OMG! I want to go glacier hiking!! I went in the cave when I was there! But I want to go through those trenches. Do the tours go through those trenches?
Currently we use the crevasses as our main route up the glacier, usually possible only in winter time. We hope this crevasse trail sticks around for the next few months - come on by and check it out!
Hi there ...visiting iceland for 10days this August...can you help with the sim cards ..which telecom provides good data pack and a good network across the island
I use Nova myself, but there is also another company called Siminn which also provides cell phone service here. Both companies offer virtually the same services for the same price, but I think Siminn may have slightly better coverage than Nova. Having said that though, most of the well travelled areas of the country are well covered by cell phone service, it's only when you head inland that service drops in and out.
Check out: nova.is or siminn.is for more information!
@@VividIceland thank you ...another query ..I have booked a camper..but not extra insurance .they say we can add insurance while taking the delivery..mostly the travel is on ring road .planning to enter westfjords for a day ...do you think in extras Tyre and gravel insurance are enough or we should go for something else to..
@@rohanbhadoria860 Tough to say as I've never rented a car here - but I think it's definitely wise to take the tyre and gravel insurance as there can be some roads in the Westfjords that are only gravel - just for peace of mind. August usually has good weather so you won't need to worry about serious storms/winds.
Do you do tours?
Yes we offer tours. If you're interested you can contact me via the email at the bottom of the description of the video. (I don't like to post it in comments as spam protection)
@@VividIceland okay, thank you! I’m interested in next winter but planning for it now. I will reach out
