a large amount of money like discussed in the video would allow me to travel the world and take care of my loved ones and any of their financial struggles. As discussed in the video, it would be hard to set boundaries with those close to me when I begin lending money to help them.
This video made me reconsider what my financial plans are and I enjoy the direction this channel is going in. Keep up the thought-provoking work!

Right? You'd probably have all your second cousins and uncles twice removed coming out of the woodwork, but you definitely can manage it. I'm glad that it got you thinking, everyone's life and priorities are different so there is no one size fits all prescription. Glad you enjoyed!

A large store of value would allow me to transcend the socio-economic anxiety that burdens my mind. Ultimately giving me the privilege of uplifting those who are important to me and pursuing what is sacred to me - knowledge.
I love your insights and, more specifically, the paradox between a raised hedonic set-point being the reason for many amassing wealth and squandering it. Really blown away by visual art and how you are marrying it to philosophy. Patiently waiting for your next chapter.

Thank you man, much appreciated and I would agree. Love that idea of the pursuit of knowledge after the mind has been lifted of its socioeconomic stress. You'd essentially be able to choose where you wanted your intellectual prowess and further advancement as a human being would go. They say a mind without stress is weak, but I'd say that a large resource boon like that simply gives you incredible options to _choose_ what type of challenges you want your mind to pursue, instead of having them imposed on you by default.
      Glad you enjoyed =)

Love love love this. Artistically and intellectually! You touch on so many really big ideas around financial ndependence, early retirement, the hedonic setpoint, minimalism... so much to explore here. I think a BONANZA would set me free from the need to do anything but make art and help the ones I love- and those are the most important things to me!

Great video brother! Watched it twice; first time I was only listening to it on my way to the office, so I wanted to give it proper attention on the second go.
You gave me an idea for an experiment that I'd like to do. I'm curious if this propensity for squandering found wealth extends beyond our species. I thought it may be interesting if I tested it with species which store their loot.
Like, would a group of squirrels reduce a percentage of found nuts that they store away if they came across a massive cache of food (as compared to a control group)?
I'm just not sure how I'd ethically pull that off, but it would be an interesting video if I could do the experiment (with your permission, of course; I'd credit you for the idea and a link back to this vid).

Of course! AFAIK there is some level of experimentation that was done with rats that were given infinite food and no longer had any scarcity. It's called the "Mouse Utopia Experiments". I believe it broke down a lot of the fundamental behaviors of their normal functioning rat colony.
I think you should definitely try it if you have access to some squirrels! Maybe in your experiment you let the squirrels leave and take their nuts with them, which would be different from the mouse utopia in that they were all stuck together. I would be interested to see if the squirrels had the option to "take their nuts and go home", would they do so? Would they then try to defend their private stack and still try to take more from the main loot cache? When would they feel like they had enough stored to feel safe and secure? How would it affect the their interactions with the other squirrels compared to the control?
Oh yeah I could see that video being sick and would totally appreciate the attribution =)

Great video just like last time! A few thoughts:
    1. Are you going to talk about inheriting wealth at birth? I feel like that's a different scenario from getting it once grown up.
    2. There are some audio issues in the final cut. The audio in different sections seems to have different noise cancelling or audio levels? (not an audio guy but it sounded a bit up and down)
    3. Thoughts on having an intro section explaining that you are talking about survival strategies? As the algorithm pushes up your videos, people are likely going to land on a video that isn't the starting video for the series. I heard the first 15 seconds of a video are really important for retention and making sure people understand what the video is about.

      1) Yes! Next video actually.
      2) I will definitely check on that, I stabilized the speaking audio as much as I could - was it in the music or the speaking that you heard the fluctuations? At certain times there is supposed to be fluctuation in the sound for intense effect in the music.
      3) Yes I'm considering that. It's really a question of how to make the video independently marketable while having it remain a part of the series. I'm experimenting with a few different options to see what jives with the algorithm, but ultimately it's probably going to just come down to having that significant backlog of content and YT figuring out what niche it's supposed to recommend this to.

How you use music in your videos without copy right???
