- With a classic like Garden Warfare 1, it's not hard to see why people are still trying this game out to this day. Though with that being said, it's not exactly the most... alive game out there. So, in today's video, we take a deep dive into the game itself to see if it's still worth purchasing!

@@SylviaYSI I was playing Multiplayer, and I decided to join Team Vanquish non-seriously only to find three people playing.
The server grew a little, but instantly died once the game finished.
The game is VERY active on ps3, every mode can be qued into. Love me some mixed mode!

Still full lobbies on ps4. PLUS, it goes on sale literally every month for $2 and the second game for $3. It’s still popular and relatively cheap. Great video ❤❤
they really need to port this game to steam, imagine full classic team vanquish lobbies. also being 10 years old i think this games graphics hold up VERY well
GW1 is great but I fw gw2 much more, I was playing gw2 on Xbox yesterday and got a full lobby pretty fast
Yeah, GW2 has a much more active playerbase, which is understandable for several reasons. I also like it more, but GW is still pretty solid

i grew up with this game for about 6 - 7 years until i got to try GW2 for the first time, and i can say i still prefer this game over GW2 in a handful of aspects, but i can admit it's mostly attachment and the simplicity of it :P

This game has some magic in it that gives it such an interesting feel when playing it
THIS GAME IS SO FUN I RECOMMEND YOU BUYING IT. Its honestly way better than gw2 and battle for neighborville. The game can sometimes get annoying when theyre try hards using z-4 or the pea silencer. 9/10 game BUY IT

@@sm3dwplessie765 Are you talking about Steam numbers? GW 2 only came to Steam a couple of years ago. Seems pretty disingenuous to just say the game hit its peak player count without any context.

If you can find a cheap copy at a second-hand video game store, absolutely. The best customisations and best maps out of the shooters, and a large variety of characters. Major downfall is lack of replay value, but some people clearly disagree as there's bound to be quite a few familiar faces when you go in a lobby.
I’ve already begun to see some regulars while playing, so that downside isn’t so bad for a few people. Suppose this game is more of an acquired taste than a lot of the others in that sense 😭

This was my TF2 and in a way GW is the newer TF2 just cuz of how beloved they are and how many similarities they have. Namely with quirky and unique characters with a lot of personality and insane lore and just being weird and silly af. Both are still being played and GW2 still isn’t dead. Prob cuz it takes all the players from GW1 cuz why play the first one when the second is just better

İ disagree on the progression balance, i unlocked everything in the stickerbook and all of the upgrades in just a year not to mention the packs are more rewarding the ones in gw2

@@SylviaYSI Basically Cheesy Warp is like the Default Warp, but if the Warp passes through someone, it would deal 30 damage. Also you can only have 1 Cheesy Warp on stock.
I forgot to say but, same thought with both Cheetah Healing Station and Sticky Cheetah Ball with their default counterparts.
Yep, that explains why I have 60+ hours in GW1.

I got a ps4 two years ago and my firsr thought was playing this game (when it came out i still had a wii) and the game in that one single day was 20 Brazilian dollars (i live in brazil) but because of a discount....THE RAW PRICE WAS 70 BRAZILIAN DOLLARS

This may be just me, but I don't think it's completely fair to criticize the progression system too much. Considering that the concept of earning in-game currency actually within matches is basically dead
First game I ever played still play it to this day mainly for the art style and the dlc characters the art style is what it does better than the others
They should've just added crossplay by now, even though PVZ is based around 360 and PS3 originally, now with Xbox One, PS4/5 and PC having its sales it should just at least get a crossplay feature so the lobbies would be good. They did it properly at the end for Battlefront 2 to add in at least a few bots so you wouldn't be alone. But like come on PVZ should really have more recognition these days especially for this game is like to me a family friendly shooter at most

Garden Warfare 1 still has active players on the 360 version. The game is still living.

I can vouch for that. When I got the game back in March, I loaded a full game of Gardens & Graveyards.
As of recently, I've been unable to play online for some reason.

i would discourage to buy the game, because if something fucks up and you cannot play it anymore, EA will put a nice sweaty peanits in your mouth (best case scenario) and you will basically waste your money

The points you have made are pretty fair, but I will still support this game to the grave. gw2 is full of so much BS its insane (legendary characters, balancing etc) this games just better for, the charm, the more advanced maps, better balancing and this might be just me but in this game i barely see any hackers, unlike the other 2. GW2 to be exact.

Bro i used to play this game in 2016 and 2017 on my ps3. Nowadays i just have two computers. One i3 2120 and other with i5 3k but they both dont have dedicated video card, is onboard, and the i5 doesnt open the game, the i3 open but doesnt load/render the map, should i buy a video card? is the intel graphics the problem? the GUI appears normaly but the map doesnt render so everything is just invisible
I used to play GW1 as a teenager. I just picked up GW2 and wish I had started playing it sooner, because I'm having a blast with it so far. Since I'm on PC and live in Australia, unfortunately I don't have much reason to return to the original, at least not right now. But it'll always be special to me. Amazing mid-air imp punt kill near the end btw. I enjoyed this short and sweet video.

Garden warfare one is the best game of the franchise and still my favourite multiplayer shooter. But you cant play it the lobbys are always empty even on pc

My gw1 is bricked idk why I just get an error when I try and join lobbies (Xbox one)btw but it used to be fine.But I can still play ops with other people
How do you get filled lobbies? I wasn't able to be in just one lobby with at least 10 people in it. Vanguish with just me against one other person that was all.

Yes. I got GW1 on Xbox 360, despite owning it on Xbox One and PC, and had a blast and large hit of nostalgia.
I will have my revenge ark soon ):) (for context i was doing a solo run of ops on hard mode with berry pea. Ans then the dr zomboss spins the thing he gets 3 gargantuar with the sun glasses. You know that ended. And thanks letting me know. Oh ya any tips for killing gargantuar with the sun glasses other then sorta staying away from them)
