Thank you I wish I had a lot of money I would help you guy’s out because you’re both working so hard & started with nothing you should be proud of yourselves, honestly it’s so nice seeing a young couple working so hard & in such awful weather, keep up the brilliant work & if I win the lottery you guys will be on the list 😊
First time watching. Several laugh out loud moments. Loved the video. Hope the rain stops soon. Send it to Brisbane in Aus, we could really do with some.
I know you all would love the money to invest in fancy fine sheep (all cheviots of course) but I especially love the idea that you give cull ewes a second chance to be sheep. The weather sucks and that fox is a pest but they’re all living the real sheep life. May you have dryer weather.
All that rain is why it's called " the garden of England", just think of the lush grass you'll have later and the fat lambs you'll end up with. ( OK, doesn't help when you've got mud in your pants.).
Slogging through so much mud is just depressing. I am hoping for blue skies and fair weather for you. Love to you and Zoe. 👍👍❤️ Can you string a tarpaulin up between the apple trees to create a shelter from the rain?
You are an amazing guy, and of course your other half. What a great example you are to other youngsters. (yeah I'm old) wish the very best with your endevour and push through this crappy weather.
When you put the kettle on in the shed I thought it was for your coffee but it was for colostrum! You poor soul! That weather is nasty! Look after yourself if you ever get a break. What a hard life. Don't know how you do it. Definitely not the "romantic" side of lambing in the garden of England!
Hi Chris and Zoe, it must be hard work for you lambing in this horrendous rain! We hope you keep those foxes down, we'd come and join you if we weren't so far away and there's always a cold beer in the fridge here!! Keep up the good work. See you on the next one. (hope it stops raining for you and us!) Malc and Ann Very wet Lincs UK xx
I'll be leaving the beaches and sunshine my home town for a holiday to the UK in a couple of weeks, I watch you for the rain and mud. different extremes hey? thanks for the videos and congrats on all the lamies...
Great video Kris and Zoe. Our lambing all finished for this year, time for a rest, if we can keep the bloody foxes away. We too are in Kent, better weather on the way 😄
Can empathise. We get from one extreme to another here on the east coast of Australia. We had extreme fires in 2019-2020 and then flooding after (helped put out the fires actually). Since then we have had extreme levels of rain with parts flooding multiple times a year (have a look at Lismore NSW). But we just keep soldiering on as things have to be done.
Man, you could send the rain up here , we need some. Such grueling weather. Miserable. Let’s hope those tough little lambs grow up to be sturdy! Hang in there. They can’t lamb forever. You got this!
Great video as always. Well done guys. Have you thought about seeing locally if anyone would like to come and feed the pet lambs for you. Say £5 a person. ( see it on the sheep game) might just raise a few quid for you both. 👍
I remember lambing in weather like that when i was a kid but we were lanbing hill sheep like Swaledales, Rough Fell and Herdwicks and they could stand a bit of weather Your chivies should stand a bit as well
Lamb 1 would not shut up and Lamb 2&3 wouldn't say anything if you paid them.🤣 Sorry the weather sucks but to make you feel better it is the 11th of April and we are having a snow storm in Alberta, Canada. Best of luck on the rest of lambing.
Got to be the most positive and uplifting couple on utube
The best on CZcams.Love videos about rain and Cheviots

I was thinking the same thing. Would love to sponsor you. I can pray for some dryer weather for you thou.

Slogging through so much mud is just depressing. I am hoping for blue skies and fair weather for you. Love to you and Zoe. 👍👍❤️

We start lambing next week. No grass as yet and we have no sheds . Oh the joy of shetland weather
😅
Hideous weather, its amazing how resilient the lambs are. And the shepherd & shepherdess.
yes they can take an awful lot!
A sense of humour makes all the difference in circumstances like yours. Keep it up
its all you have that you can control!

So sorry for the rain but love your lambing episode. Beautiful sheep. ❤
Hello mate.i enjoyed this episode. You guys are awesome.i also liked the longer content. The weather is just as bad in Cornwall. Take care.
I'll be leaving the beaches and sunshine my home town for a holiday to the UK in a couple of weeks, I watch you for the rain and mud. different extremes hey? thanks for the videos and congrats on all the lamies...

Props to you guys. You have more motivation and stamina then most people including me! No way I could do it 👏🏼
I appreciate that!
Great video Kris and Zoe. Our lambing all finished for this year, time for a rest, if we can keep the bloody foxes away. We too are in Kent, better weather on the way 😄

Great video Kris aye it’s not nice all that rain when you’re lambing sheep but there will be better days ahead 👌
cheers mate!
New subscriber here! I love your orchard! What a lovely place to raise sheep! I hope your weather improves.
Thanks for subbing!

the weather is definitely changing! its so erratic .. the last few years have had crazy extreams
What a catch with that ewe! I need to loose some weight 😂
😂
Man, you could send the rain up here , we need some. Such grueling weather. Miserable. Let’s hope those tough little lambs grow up to be sturdy! Hang in there. They can’t lamb forever. You got this!
More bag blankets needed. Great idea
Ive never seen a vlog complaining about the rain for 25 min 😂😂
Great videos, keep up the good work. Don't know how you manage to lamb outside without a good sheepdog, mighty stuff
its a long story but we make do
You are doing so well with limited resources. Keep at it!
Keep going Chris, the sun will come out again (I hope)
The old Mel Brooks movie Young Frankenstein... "It could be worse... It could be raining." At least isn't frozen rain.
Well done 👍 and thanks for sharing your lambing life with us 🙏
Don’t buy a quad buy a landini mistral can get them in the box to move them about but still big enough to do most jobs.
👌
Great video as always. Well done guys. Have you thought about seeing locally if anyone would like to come and feed the pet lambs for you. Say £5 a person. ( see it on the sheep game) might just raise a few quid for you both. 👍
yes.. we were going to do it this year but zoes book launch fell right in the middle of it and we didnt know how crazy that was going to be
I ‘m a spinner and I love watching your channel, I love sheep! Cheviot is great for spinning too. Sorry that it’s so wet there :(.
Hang in there! They are some very cute lambs.
Up here in the north west we’ve had nothing but rain for 6 weeks, lambing time has been sh1t.💩
We’ve had enough rain now haven’t we 😖😖 should be better from Saturday onwards 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
soooo much rain!
I had a mother daughter pair lamb at the same time. They co-parented their lambs together. The greediest lamb is a ram lamb. He's quite the chunk!
Put lammacs on the cold lambs. The little plastc coats also deter the fix.
I remember lambing in weather like that when i was a kid but we were lanbing hill sheep like Swaledales, Rough Fell and Herdwicks and they could stand a bit of weather
Your chivies should stand a bit as well
yeah they can handle an amazing amount .. it just get really depressing
Those plastic jackets seem to be the trick for wet weather, I've never seen them here. We use felt jackets, but then we're dealing with colder temps.
Am staying mostly indoors today - the ewes can get on with it themselves other than dawn/dusk issue checks./
Where are you located? What part of England.
I'm so sorry for the rain. Even not being out in it is depressing.
Smashing it Chris, now Zoe’s book is out when is yours coming?
haha its not for me writing a book... its been a very unforgettable experience
Lamb 1 would not shut up and Lamb 2&3 wouldn't say anything if you paid them.🤣 Sorry the weather sucks but to make you feel better it is the 11th of April and we are having a snow storm in Alberta, Canada. Best of luck on the rest of lambing.
It seems to always be raining where you’re at
Foxes are eating out of your wallet, maybe fewer foxes will get you that side by
Might even get a nice coat out of the deal
What sort of trees are in the maternity paddock?
apple
Is there no one who would help out with the fox control
Chivots are a nightmare to catch if you have to lamb them well ones I have are.😅
Have you tried a bit of tar on the back of the necks to put the fox off?
yes we have! put a couple of ewes off and still doesnt stop the ones that lamb in the night but it is good
The garden of England moved to Yorkshire 🤣
