Pirate Steve his mother thinks that the idea of black people she has gives her the right to push that onto the only real black person , her son, she has an actual relationship with instead of listening to him.
I've never felt so shaken, sad and mesmerized by a poem 😭😭
That exit was amazing! Poem had me close to tears, like he said it would be fire, it definitely was. I feel as though most white people who decide to have black partners (then children)will fight for the right to say nigga before they fight for a black persons right to live. If only white people fought as hard to become a part of ending racism, it started and needs to end with them. When entering a relationship with a person of color you cant be "colorblind" because doing that pushes their struggles under the carpet and denies their ongoing oppression. Stevie wonder may be blind but he's FELT his color his whole life. Pick up the slack.

This poem left me speechless. Freaking amazing.
This was so amazing it made me want to hug him and shake his hand for standing up for his self but it also made me understand that growing up I was so wrong... I had mixed friends who mothers would call them the n word and I always thought that they were okay with it I never paid attention to the sadness in their face... I just thought that they did something wrong and that's why she called them the n word.... As an adult I have ran into so many mixed people who have such sad mixed feelings about being raised by a white woman and hated by that same white woman...

These people in the comment section are mad at him for expressing his pain and the best way he knows how... Also he's nonviolent.... I know so many mixed adult individuals who had fucked-up childhoods because of their white mother and their black father... Instead of people addressing the problem of how to treat your child.
