A lot of people don't know that there was Ursa major Easter egg in the black widow movie. Red Guardian broke a Ursa's hand during the prison scene. He was referred to as "the big bear" 🐻
I wish we would get things like this in the MCU. Like imagine an actual bear instead of some dude.
Comic books are crazy by default. I hate that a lot of the MCU has toned it down
@@mediocri5y so a talkin raccoons who guns an a talkin tree isnt to crazy????
Zangief would love to wrestle this guy probably
Final fights Haggar is much better but they don't give him the love he needs
I wish he had a bigger part in Black Widow, who knows though, Kevin Feige could always bring him back down the line!
The rumor is both Ursa and Omega Red WILL be in the MCU. Supposedly both actors have a clause in their contracts [option] to return-if they don't, their characters will not be re-cast or reused. Disney wants to continue the continuity in all live-action features, regardless of studio. It is now the Golden Rule for the MCU franchises. This may change depending on which universe makes the most sense (profits).
I, for one, can't wait to see both characters return. Ursa's appearance wasn't small per se. It was an initial tidbit, not to thrill true mutants fans, but a hint of things to come. I'll explain.
Before Luke Cage was canceled, Marvel tried to hint that mutants were already in the MCU, albeit on the small screen. Bush Master was given a vaccination in the Cage series that should have killed him. But it is said that he had already shown a surprising ability to survive before this. The audience could have perceived this monologue as a legend or hyperbole among friends and a warning to his enemies, but I beg to differ.
At the airing of that particular episode, the MCU/TV series The Inhumans were being fleshed out, and the inclusion of Spider-Man in the MCU was being negotiated. It seems that an average human who was turned into a chemically enhanced mutate may have been, in fact, something else altogether. Whether that individual was a mutate, Inhuman or a MUTANT would have been up to the writers after negotiations. They didn't foresee Sony's stalling, Netflix's greed, and questionable writing and casting within the many Marvel TV series, which in turn caused fans to become disenfranchised.
Speaking of writing, there is something else on a very different subject but ancillary to what I have mentioned.
With the MCU now coming full circle and some small-screen heroes returning to the fold and interacting with the prominent screen heroes regarding continuity (Kingpin/Daredevil), one can't help but wonder who else will make an appearance. Yes, I know WE have been drooling about this for some time now, but I have one question that nobody seems to answer.
AGENT CARTER
With Steve going back in time to be with his soul mate and the many cameos Peggy has made in the MCU, what is now continuity? The series, the movies, the Capt Carter iteration, or THE PEGGY CARTER One-Shot?
Yes, that often forgotten introduction of post-WW2 Agent Carter. If you remember, she became Director of SHIELD after the mini-movie. Would this be the actual MCU timeline for her character? I say this because the TV series left us with a cliffhanger, but more to the point, Zola and Faustus appear in the series with a storyline that seems to be the beginning of the Winter Soldier/Hydra infiltration. Let's not forget Roxxon, which has appeared in the MCU (only as billboards), is still doing what it does.
There might be a significant continuity error or something that can be expanded on. Regardless, the Peggy Carter one-shot did introduce a villainous character or characters that may have something to contribute to the future MCU franchise that everyone may have forgotten about.
Z.O.D.I.A.C.
Not to mention CA: The 1st Avenger hinted at two Marvel characters that should have made an appearance by now. The Original Human Torch and his creator Dr. Phineous Horton. Could these characters appear in the next MCU movie or series? Remember Torch was allied with several WW2 characters, but one, in particular, was that brute from the sea, that jerk for the depths, the King of Atlantis. Wakanda had The White Wolf; who does Namor have?
Yes, I'm reaching, but I bet you are drooling. I can see it now; instead of the Phoneix Force being used by Namor to destroy Wakanda-he uses The Human Torch to raze it.
W.W.M. aka "World War Marvel".
So basically he's Russian Hulk, only severely underwhelming by comparison.
To be fair many things become underwhelming when you compare then to the Hulk
Always on point New Sage!!!
The picture of ursa with human lips looks hilarious 😂 3:13
Yessir.I just woke up to some content from one of my favorite channels.
Another strong and underrated character thanks sage👍🏾
Yes yes yes! Thanks for this one brother!
I really enjoyed Darkstar & The Winter Guard but had no idea there was more. Thanks!
This guy known as sage came from a faraway land to inform us common folk on the dopeness of comic book characters and he also has a informed version of animals as well what a character this sage man seems to be i appreciate the work and effort sage be safe enjoy ur weekend and ummm. Perfect predator!!! Ill never stop messing with u about pp its a real good idea and channel bro i hope u start it back up if u have the time quick inquiry what made u come up with that concept??
This was great. Thanks bruh
Its a bit underwhelming that he's weaker than spiderman in physical strength, even though he's a large humanoid
The strongest spiders can lift to 50× times their weight. I am surprised he can even lift up to 15 tons. Bears arent that strong.
His strength is not inferior to Spidey's. I don't know how or why you conjured that up. But it seems every misinformation can get blind likes.
@@alissa6 Spiderman has higher strength feats. The video even said he's in the 15 ton range, spiderman is way past that right now.
@@russm4391 First of all, the ton classification is not to be taking serious, remember it also says Luke Cage is less stronger than Spider Man and Spider Woman amongst other non-powerhouses as well. Secondly, Ursa has better strength feats as he's had punch outs and restrained the Hulk, also amongst other powerhouses as well. He's crushed Crimson Dynamo's armoured hand. Etc.
Another good one bro...I had always wondered how strong Ursa Major was
Please Marvel, Make live-action Winter Guard happen because I love to see Ursa Major appear and in action.
Wow I remember this one. From the comics I once purchased. Hulk and spidey were most of my collection.
He makes a cameo in Tekken.
Awesome!
Ursa major is my favorite marvel superhero it fantastic that there made a video talk about my favorite marvel superhero
Awesome i bearly knew him before
Gotta say I really like the Winter Guard. The characters on their roster are pretty cool.
This give ‘A Russian Bear’ a whole new meaning
Omg you actually did it thanks new sage
I wish Ursa Major was a part of the MCU. I like a Mutant that transforms into a Brown Bear.
His human form was in the black widow movie, he arm wrestled Red Guardian and well..... his wrist didn't do so good.
I always liked Ursa Major and when Gorrila man hung out with him I was like finally they meet. Now we just need a book where all the animal morphic characters hang out.
Tough and strong character
Nice!...
Amazing
I honestly think it would be great to see this character (URSA MAJOR) make his appearance in a MARVEL cartoon show series someday.
Cool, would you plz consider doing a video on Darkstar next?
I knew 20 years ago that some version of the Soviet Super Soldiers would be casted, ironic that Russia, or who ever in that region did it first. URSA MAJOR, is the powerhouse out of trio, between Darkstar, and Vanguard.
Love this character
I love those lines you after the “Who is *character name*
Thanks for this episode, it puts me up to date to who this character is.
They have to make a solo movie about the Russian Guard.
Do Chernobog next! He looks cool!
Yeah!!!!!
Will you ever do a video on the winter guard and their rosters over the years?
I freaking love ursa major
Im going to have to pick uo a few issues of Winter Guard. I knew them but not like this. Good job
My friend would love this superhero he's from Russia so I bet he would love this ♥️
I’d love this power maybe my dog would listen more
Everyone gangsta til a big brown bear starts drinking and running towards you on two legs.
Can you do all the winter guard?
I think it’s great he showed a cameo in black widow. Disney + can now go back in time on their shows during civil war!!
LETS GO SAGE YOU THE MAN BRO.
In Russia, Winter Guard actually in Black Widow movie. Da!
If they ever make another MVC I wanna see him in it
Can you do a video about Marvel's Night Thrasher (a.k.a Dwayne Taylor)?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Can you do comic book origin of Marvel's Winter Guard?
Can you do comic book origin of DC Weasel?
Squad up!!!
Can you talk about the members of the squadron supreme please?
So the Winter guard is Russia's version of The avengers? That's cool 😎
I would have went with a 7. UM is literally a beast. Looked like he was whooping up on the Hulk.
Can you make a vid about shang chi
I remember this character from his fight with wolverine.
do Primus the shape shifting assist of the mad thinker
I hope you have a great day too .
Ursa Major vs Wolfsbane is a fight I wanna see
i would love to see stories of the persecution of teh mutants - they would be sad and dark but never the less interesting.
Not sure which itetation or comic book had the character, but the fact that the winter guard had a slavic god of darkness on their team is crazy, like, how did they convince him/it, to join their team???
Can you do comic book origin of DC Solomon Grundy?
Ursa Major is the best thing to happen, a power to turn into the bear is unique.
"Hey, those guys aren't bears on unicycles!"
Id love to see a version of Ursa major in she-hulk
All these characters are awesome, but come on Sage, I wanna see what you got on the Thing!
I was prepared to hear a legendary rating of 10 since you give that to almost everyone
Wojtek got buffed.
Interesting character. Especially with drinking ARC. LOL
Ursa Major is a the Mutant version of Zangief, without the beard, and the body hair tufts, and tatts.
so this where smokey was after preventing forrest fires
I would like to see him fight the bear from Tekken
That name's actually pretty damn clever
Have you heard of someone called firebreather if you have can you add him to your list please?
Do Demon Bear.
Are we going to see more of Oliver Richter playing Ursa Major in the MCU? How do you think Marvel is going to explain his power to turn into a grizzly Bear in the MCU?
They'll probably downgrade it to just him having the strength of a bear instead of turning into one
@@nytrix5346 yup..he is a mutant whose powers kicked in later in life..i wish they make a "Winter Guard" (Russian Avenger) movie in MCU..
Jeeze why couldn’t this guy be in the Black Widow movie? He would’ve fit in!
Russian bears are pretty cool
Anyone notice Ursa major in the Black Widow movie? He arm wrestled Red Guardian while in prison, they did him dirty 😭😂
Wait a minute in Black Widow, the guy armwrestling in the prison was him? Lmao I never noticed the reference
Cool ass character
I wish he would have been in the black widow movie...
hes a cool character but woulda been cool if he was stronger. Like sasquatch or windigo. But hes only a 15 tonner, weaker than spider woman who can lift 25 tons.
Keeps him more grounded and likeable. Being able to flip some cars over is enough to get the job done
@@VinceTooley Hes suppose to be the big brute of the team he is on though. He is 900lbs and nearly 10ft tall. Thats heavier and taller than colossus but far weaker. Its kinda dumb to have someone that huge and massive be weaker than spiderman. Hell, even omega red would rag doll this guy and hes not even suppose to be a strength character.
@@MrInzombia You must be stupid if you believe this guy is less stronger than Spider Woman or Spider Man.
Yes but he’s a 15 ton bear who’s an expert in different martial arts lol that’s deadly
@@alissa6 I mean, spider man can lift heavier things than Ursa so seems about right
Fantastic, fun and very cool narration, video and content... Bro you make all these characters interesting even the ones that mostly play the background, beyond cool. Praise, blessings and glory be to the most high, loving, awesome, true and living GOD for all of HIS blessings, watching and unchanging hand HE keeps over us HIS family in CHRIST which you and I are blessed to say includes us in the name of our Lord and savior JESUS CHRIST by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT. I mean it my brother I see you I really do .so keep shining, stay encouraged, keep inspiring all to greatness as you do and stay frosty cause they don't get cooler than you
They shyted on Ursa Major in the black widow movie, and killed Him off rather unceremoniously in the Comics.
Let's come rush in a flash.
I WANT TO SEE THIS DUDE BATTLE THE HULK IN THE NEXT AVENGERS MOVIE😃👍🏿😎!!! A talking bear with drinking problems???😂🤣😎- BADASS! I applaud whoever came up with this character❤❤❤👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾!!
There is another Russian super hero team called the Bogatyri who use to be super-villains that were members of Doctor Demonicus' super-villain team called the Pacific Overlords. But after they realized how crazy and evil that Doctor Demonicus is, they all betrayed him and helped the super hero team called Avengers: West Coast defeat him as he was using the alien Lifestone gem to create various giant mutant kaiju-like monsters to try to take over the world. The members of the Bogatyri are now allies of the Avengers and they also sometimes on occasion help the Winter Guard, too. Their members are Svyatogor (Sasha Pokryshkin) who is a human who was mutated into a superhuman being by exposure to nuclear radiation, and who is also a cyborg with various advanced bionic body parts, Mikula Golubev, a superhuman mutant with telepathy and telekinesis, Doctor Volkh (Doctor Vladimir Orekhov) who is a human who was mutated into a superhuman being by exposure to cosmic radiation, who now possesses the superhuman power of elastic stretching similar to Mister Fantastic, and Zvezda Dennista, a.k.a. Morning Star (Dr. Marya Meshkova), who is a human who was mutated by exposure to alien energy from alien meteorites found in Siberia where the mysterious explosion called the Tonguska Event had occurred back in the year 1908, who now possesses the power to project the alien energy from her body, enabling her to fly and fire energy beams.
The name Bogatyri in Russian means in English, "the Valiant Champions of Elder Days", which is what they named themselves after, the old heroes of ancient Russian folklore. They saw themselves as the ones who would avenge the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics' defeat during the Cold War at the hands of the United States of America. But when they allied with the professional criminal and mad scientist Doctor Demonicus (Dr. Douglas Birely), they made a big mistake as the scientific genius and criminal mastermind was hell-bent on trying to take over the world and proved to be an insane sociopath who was dangerously psychotic. Although they operate more like a merc team, they are still patriotic enough to help the Winter Guard as fellow Russians. However, unlike the members of the Winter Guard, they still wish for the former U.S.S.R. to be restored as they do not believe Communism is wrong. This puts them at odds with the Winter Guard and with the members of the Avengers, which is a team of super heroes sanctioned by the U.S.A.'s federal government. Morning Star even had a fling with the U.S. Agent (John F. Walker) but due to their differing political beliefs, their relationship couldn't get past those differences despite their intense attraction to each other.
It’s funny that not many people realized he was the Mutant rumored for The Black Widow movie.
Maybe cause nobody cared..lol
I thought most people knew that liked that team.
Wolfs 🐺 turn into werewolves so turning into a wereBEAR LOL would be amazing! Imagine if you had Three Ursa majors pair with couple werewolves and have those 5 as guards
