A story about drillers from the Takhtek Hydrogeological Team extracting groundwater from the earth. The main character, Cavalier of the Order of Lenin and Order of the Red Banner of Labor, Drilling Foreman S. Jusupakhnov, helped his team to work their way up from a poorly performing crew to the leading one.
