Today I share my BEST settings for helping to reduce input delay/input lag on xbox one for both your controller and monitor/tvs when playing on xbox one and I share my best settings that I use on my xbox series X in 2023 that help me have smooth and as minimum amount of input delay when playing old call of duty titles in 2023 in games such as black ops 2, black ops 1, mw2 and mw3 in 2023!

Hope you all enjoy today's video! I hope these settings and recommendations will help improve you experience when playing these older call of duty titles I know this may not fix everybody's issues but give some of these tips and tricks a chance and hopefully these settings and tips will help with any input delay and graphic issues you are experiencing when playing these older cod titles through xbox one reverse compatibility!

Thanks for this video man. I bought the xbox elite series 2 controller, and it's nice to be able to change color and also the buttons if they go down all the way or not😊
I just lowered my aim and the top and right arrow settings on screen to zero through the game itself. Really helped. I also use a scuff xbox one controller.

I think it’s cheaper to get a Xbox 360 than buying this controller
It probably is I offered the suggestion as everyone seeing this is playing on an Xbox one console they might want to upgrade their controller instead that will be useful to use both on the backwards compatibility to turn the controller into a 360 controller and still be able to use it on the Xbox one for other games as well. 😁
Jus get the wingman xb2 you can use any controller u wanna play wit an have 0 input delay cost 50$

Does it actually change it in games? I'm using the Elite Series 2 right now but it feels terrible in older games. Yes, instant helps a bit (i put it around half way not full) but it doesn't feel good at all though. Your aim still isn't like it used to be on the original 360 console or even on a PS4.
@@mistermars9534 the dead zone adjustment doesn't fully fix it but it helps for me, I'm still looking for my happy medium

It's weird, on 2 sensitivity I can actually aim but on 3 it feels completely off. 2 just feels so slow lol but at least I don't miss every shot from range anymore

Is there a way to fix input without buying the elite controller? I’ve got an Aim controller and Victrix but input is crazy bad basically unplayable 😢

You can do this on the Horipad Pro which is about £30 in the UK

No I wouldn't use the instant setting when playing on any Xbox one games just for 360 games I would use the instant option my dude 😁

I know this is all speculation but when these games come to pc (game pass) do you think you will need a elite series controller for less delay or any Xbox controller will work?
Should be fine for pc especially as there are ways to overclock controllers on pc which is something you can't do on console. So it shouldn't be an issue as long as you use an official controller Xbox one or 360 and any elites controller/scuf type controllers will be perfectly fine for pc also! 😁
Wow. Turning off 50hz content in Video settings and setting to 720p helped massively.
If it works for you my dude that's great I personally keep mine at 1440p 😁

I have my right analog tension set to max and left Is on default 😁
Hi, idk what is with me but because of the aggressive camera shaking when shooting i can not aim. In MW2(2022) i had the option to almost disable it and i was able to aim. In these old cods i CAN NOT AIM.....
Do you know anything i can do about it?
thats just how old cods work. you win the gunfights by making the enemy flinch hard. Its also why sniping takes more skill.
Oh shit the elite controller actually helps dope
Do not bring the curve adjustment all the way up. I promise you it will mess up your aim. Because when you move your analog it'll go farther than what you want it to it's 100% overkill. I moved it down and it helped immensely. All you need is sensitivity curve on instant.
I tried these settings and it feels really fast, too fast for me lol.
That's okay I personally like it at its fullest if people feel it is too fast then yes I definitely advise adjusting the amount of curve until it suits you 😁

@@TazXGold the problem is let's say I barely move my analog to the left is goes farther over then what the thumb is actually doing. Idk how you play with it all the way up. I turned it down to like the second or third and that's the sweet spot
@@SnackJar so I play on a lower sensitivity than what I normally would for instance I would never play on a 2 but with this setting I do it was the sweet spot for me. So I guess personal preference for everyone but if you have found your sweet spot then don't worry as long as you have found what works for you that's all that matters 😁
I thiught variable refresh rate helps when turned on or should I turn it off only for old games with input delay. Also does fps setting in monitor mess up any other games
No variable refresh rate is only really useful if you are seeing screen tearing then I recommend having it on but can cause more input delay and I have it off regardless and depends again with FPS I have mine set to 120 regardless of what game I'm playing and don't run into any issues with it set to 120fps even if the game doesn't support 120fps 😁

@@Lesoyskrr yeah FPS mode and game mode do the same normally is just the same thing but one of these 2 names depending on the monitor. It will improve your latency and minimize your delay and on my monitor it is called FPS mode so that's what I use my dude! 😎

What is the setting for the thumbsticks tightness?
Maximum tension on my right stick on my elite controller my dude!
The absolute biggest help for me was turning off Dolby Vision so that my TV moved from DV to Game mode. DV is great for watching 4K movies… not so much for older COD’s.
Idk why Dolby vision isn’t on my Xbox one as an option in the settings. Idk what to do I want to play the old CODs but this input delay makes it almost unplayable.

Is there a big difference between xbox elite series 1 and 2 controller?
Yes elite series 2 is a lot more durable and is more of a fix to the issues that the elite series 1 had

Would be great if these games runned natively on ultra settings like the pc version's
Only thing we might get is an FPS boost possibly from Microsoft but I doubt they can upscale these games in other ways but will have to wait and see 😅
So old school cods untick the allow variable refresh rate xbox setting and current cod mw2 enable it
No I would just have it off completely as it gives you more input delay more useful for single player games not any multiplayer games my dude! 😎

I put 720p and it made a noticeable difference! (Xbox one).
I use the dual sense edge controller you know what curve to use for that?

@@JZ1LLA too much delay only through the old cods. I did try halo infinite with it and felt good. But for the old cods you gotta play on 360.

Series S will do just fine, and it’s 200 less, I got a used series X the other day for 360, so that’s another option

How are you getting 1440p at 120fps on your Series-X?
Through a decent tv or monitor, I usually get 110 on warzone playing Xbox

@@TazXGold I guess I have to change mine then. I have the Samsung G70-A 28 inch. It's a great looking monitor. Has quite a few bells and whistles, but I can't do 1440p at 120hz. I've also seen another video and the monitor in that video did it as well. 😔 damn....did I chose wrong?

I don't think games like MW2 or MW3 will get fps boosts to 120, even on PC they're hard locked to 90. But hey, 90 is day and night compared to 60.

Why do you have "Allow auto low latency mode" and "Allow variable refresh rate" turned off?
Latency mode is more for TVs and not useful on monitors and I can't even use it if I wanted to on my monitor I have very low input delay with my monitor anyway and variable refresh rate causes more input delay I would advise not having it on my dude!
@@TazXGold Oh I'm on TV so low latency mode feels quicker for me and VRR on feels quicker. Should I turn off 4K UHD resolution?
It’s so weird I’m not seeing a lot of the settings you have on your Xbox.
I have an Xbox series X if you have a different Xbox I imagine some of these settings might not be available also might be due to your monitor or TV compared to the monitor I use my dude

Don't worry I used to play on a TV the size of a wing mirror it felt like and the day I got a monitor was absolutely game changing same with getting the elite controller 😁🙌

It is a great fix but you do not have to buy one there are other ways to minimise input delay as I have shown and spoken about this is just an option and one that I would only recommend if you really want a new controller and also have a use for the controller for other games on Xbox one but it does help 😁
Disable dolby vision, HDR, and 4k.. helps massively
Why MW3 run better than MW2?
MW3 I've found to run the best out of all the cods I've revisited I'm not sure how or why but playing MW3 feels very smooth and normal compared to the other cods. Mw3 actually feels like it would easily fit in today with a graphics update very easily 😅

Misleading title. Messing with the thumbstick curves isn't fixing input lag. It's the equivalent of raising your thumbstick sensitivity for more 'responsive' controls. It's only masking the problem.

World at wat is unplayable for me the input lag is so bad. Even mw 2009 runs better
