I’m gonna use this mod to practice being in a tank squad cause in a vanilla squad game it’s more stressful and I don’t want to let the team down when I could be replaced by a more experienced player, but then I don’t get to learn if that happens. Looks super fun!
U gotta play with an experienced tank crew but it’s hard cuz then u get inexperienced tank crews that go for it and die by the most bs

I'd love to join in, but the few times I've been online, I never see any activity in the mod server, so I end up hopping in the vanilla. Would love to see more constant activity with mods, though! This was such a wonderful and unique experience over the normal gameplay loops.

Hey Moi, you should check out the Starship Troopers mod ('Troopers' on the workshop). It has gotten some pretty big updates recently (and one just today) and is really fun and unique. Sadly the servers running it aren't very populated and tend to peak at just about 35 players. But it is still a good time nonetheless.

@@somezsaltz6835 you might be mixing up the t-90m with the t-80BVM. The T-90m is one of russias best tanks yet, though they've only made like 4, lmao.
@@unfortunateson2834 isnt it somewhere around 20-30ish? iirc their first batch of T-90M started in 2020 up until now (the one that got send to Ukraine as soon as it exits the factory with a train), and 3-4 already lost in combat in Ukraine

the tanks in this game are really well made
More like a tanker's nightmare, AT infantry's dream, tanks rolling in areas where there's a lot of places for infantry to hide
I think squad should have game modes like this,only infantry,only armour and stuff
You can mod the game to do that, but who's gonna host the servers? Servers are expensive and clans/community's are picky on what to use their servers for.
Just had this on a server with 4 MBTs. Our tank ambushed 2v4 tanks and won because I figured correctly they'd be just rolling down the main road thinking it's like a cool way of rushing or something like that. Awesome shit.
They tried a thunder run. Instead they recreated Grozny
I'd totally play this on repeat, love tank combat! Faster tank respawns and proper environment destruction would make this perfect.

When you're competent, skilled, and don't have shit doctrine you can achieve almost anything
Everything about the T-72 is pretty decent until it gets penetrated, don't forget because it's a very big mistake to underestimate opponents. (also that dude above me is absolutely right)

When facing russian MBT's, always go for the lower frontal plate. It's a one way ticket to hell for them. Maybe it's not modelled as much in squad but the ammo carousel is juicy af

This map without all the southern train areas would be a lot better for this. With a much smaller map vertically, there would still be plenty of space to flank and new performance to waste on expanding the buildings insides, and above it all a much better frontline.

One thing I cannot understand is an A-10 as a Gau-8A 30mm cannon but a LAV or BTR has also a 30mm cannon but if you hit the top armor with one of those, the tank doesn't take any damage. :/

I managed to get a HAT kit for that round and was constantly running around to hit armor and was so disappointed in the little mistakes of the British armor players that kept stacking up making the game so close

@@Gossthedon Squad tries to use realistic numbers in terms of the tanks and their real life representations. So seeing a Modern T-72 (Yes, Russia does keep their shit up to date), against a Modern Abrams would be something of epic proportions, and maybe even see which of the two is better. Even modern TUSK's against T-80BV's or T-90U's would be interesting to see.

HP system. Each full pen from a sabot round does roughly 25% damage, but you can pen sub systems and the ammo rack. Ammo takes two shots to cook off.

@@majorpark Same. Post Scriptum, the WW 2 version of Squad, uses realistic damage system so I don't know why Squad doesn't.
