Hello and welcome back to Super Kit & Krysta 64! Today, we got the rare chance to go inside a video game studio to learn and see what happens right before a game launches. We're lucky to live close to Digital Eclipse, a studio that's created the interactive documentary game genre. The people at Digital Eclipse are so passionate about game preservation and found a super unique way of doing it. Their new game Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story is out now and we get a first hand look at what goes into launching a game. We hope you check out all of the cool stuff Digital Eclipse is putting out into the world!

What a great experience and interview. This was a really cool style of vid for you guys!! Love hearing about retro game preservation and seeing the amazing collection at Digital Eclipse
I love Digital Eclipse! Whenever I see their logo, I know I’m in good hands. They really put care and love into their games. I bought a physical copy for Switch, Xbox, and PS5 of The Cowabunga Collection.
what an amazing collection he has!
They are so friendly. Awws.
Sidenote: I like that Ico art in the wall. Beautiful. They do have so much stuff. xD
Digital Eclipse is one of the best. The team is awesome. Classic games all have a story to tell, with the creative devs that brought them to life.
What a fascinating look at this studio! An interactive game/documentary?What a cool concept/genre for a game! I also loved how the staff has been in games and the industry for decades…”yeah when I worked at Gamepro…” 😮 Very cool 😎
Great interview! Well done, guys!
Make more videos like this if you can! super interesting to visit Digital Eclipse
Awesome to see people get the attention they deserve from a retro game perspective. The grind and their hard work paid off. Digital Eclipse, Cook collection along with the Ataris!
Literally playing llamasoft right now. Digital Eclipse once again made a fantastic documentary. I didn’t know a whole lot about Jeff Minter, but just like with Jordan Mechner, it is incredibly interesting to follow his entire career.
Wow what a gem, both this series and the devs. Thank you for this wonderful video 😊 ❤
The game concept is honestly awesome and it kinda makes me wish Nintendo would put out a game akin to it, where it's a collection of NES and SNES games with drafts, interviews and game dev breaks in-game while you play it with some interactive elements.
This was pretty interesting, thank you for creating such unique and fun content!
I always love you guys traveling episodes, and getting to see how video game history is being preserved is honestly icing on the cake 🍰
Thanks Kit and Krysta: God Bless😇✝️
This is the stuff that makes me join a Patreon.
This was an amazing video ❤
It’s like a gamers paradise- a fun place to work
loved that Episode ❤
Every time I hear Digital Eclipse, for some reason I think of Digital Extremes (Extreme Pinball, Unreal) 😅
That was cool, thank you
You see, when a Mommy video game developer and a Daddy video game developer love each other very much.......
I believe Dan Amrich was the co-host of OXM podcast with Ryan McCaffery (now with IGN) and I still have a stick it to the dandy question that never got aired because Ryan moved to IGN. Also Dan had a band called Pallet Swap Ninja who did some fun video game covers you can find on CZcams like Halo and Viva Piñata.
LOL just what Frank needs, MORE stuff to catalog
New OED definition for "dope" -- Mike Mika's computer, video game, and memorabilia collection.
This was sucha cool video!!
Cool video, guys. Really enjoyed it🤩
Thanks!
Thank you!
Nice video
Arlo?
Both hands on the wheel! At all times!
This was great. It's so great to see people behind the scenes who are so genuinely excited to be a part of the industry. I only wish this was longer!
