Richter and Julius are easily my favourite weilder of the Vampire slayer. I just like the logic that Richter is so much of a powerhouse that Dracula could literally send Death to his door step and he would beat his ass and send him packing in a matter of seconds.
What's even more insane about Richter is that Whips memory doesn't represent him properly. If you talk with Eric Lacarde regarding the whip, Jonathan is scared about facing the memory. What does Eric say? Not to worry too much as the whips memory isn't a real, full powered Belmont.

What I gathered is that Sarah is the real hero. Sacrificing her own life so that the future of humanity might have a chance. Wow. That's both tragic and incredibly honorable. But I guess such is the nature of the Castlevania series.

8:55 Wait, I thought Richter getting possessed caused the image of the Belmonts within the whip to be corrupted, therefore making it almost impossible for future Belmonts to wield it(and those who did suffered consequences). And that's why Jonathan destroyed the image of Richter within the Vampire Killer, as it ended that terrible curse. Thus, leading to best bro, Julius, to train with the whip.

Yes and no richter was cursed but the test and consequences of the whip were due to the fact the character in that game was a branch family of the belmonts thus not a "true" belmont this is why julius belmont could uses it without trouble

As much as I absolutely *love* this video you did get one thing wrong: John and Jonathan took the exact same test. It is specifically stated by Eric in Portrait of Ruin that for a non Belmont to use the Whip, a Lecarde must administer a test proving their worth. Eric encencially confirms that John took this test and defeated the Whip's memory (Richter). Other than that, this video's amazing.
No, this video is correct. John couldn’t fully utilize the whip, it’s what killed him ultimately. It’s why he didn’t want Jonathan to use it initially.

Actually is not the spirit of Richter, is the memory (thats also the name of the creature)of the last Belmont that the whip remembers so thats why that Richter is easy to beat unlike the real Richter that You play in other castlevanias and actually uses the brain to slay the monsters.

The vampire killer might be the strongest weapon against dracula, but I preffer the hunter whip, that thing can transform into a gun, geez
Juste was strong because of the spells possibly learnt from Belnades family and combined with Belmont 'sub-weapons'. Richter actually have the fighting spirit and skills, along with Belmont version of spell, the item crash. One might argue it's passed down from Juste, but Juste use elemental spells like fire or ice. Those kind of spell is more towards Belnades family. Richter's is more like Leon's.

Pretty much all of the Belmonts embody Jonathan naturally. I'd just draw a line from him to either Simon or Leon. I'd say that Juste is closest to Joseph in that he gains natural magical talent from the Belnades bloodline, which reflects Joseph's natural talent. Richter is DEFINITELY Jotaro, no questions asked. I'd actually say that Jonathan Morris is a kind of Josuke, but he could also be Young Joseph in his personality (jonathan morris comes off as cocky and a little rogueish in his dialogue in portrait of ruin). Finally, i'd say that Julius would be to Giorno in that he's basically the most powerful Belmont, like how Giorno is arguably the most powerful Joestar. Although Giorno has more in common canonically with Alucard due to being the son of Dio.
Diego Brando = Soma Cruz; Speedwagon = Grant Danasty; Ceaser Zeppeli = Eric Lecarde; Jolyne Cujoh = Shanoa; Lisa Lisa = Sonia Belmont/Sypha; Gabriel Belmont = Johnny Joestar. I would say that Richter from Rondo of Blood is closer to Josuke by personality than to Jotaro, but Jonathan Morris is also a fitting choice.

I love your video and Castlevania is my favorite video game series of all time,c but with that said I’ll have to inform you that Desmond Belmont is non-canon to main Castlevania timeline. But ehh not many people know about Desmond so it’s harmless to share lol. Also Richter Belmont didn’t choose to not give his descendants the vampire killer, the problem was that shaft put a curse on richter and tainted his families blood and thus the Belmont’s could not wield the whip until the Johnathan Morris(Direct blood cousin to the Belmont’s) was able to break the curse by defeating The whip memory(aka richter spirit) this the curse was lifted. Johnathan the sought out to find the Belmont’s and teach the next Belmont(Julius) to wield the whip and return it to its rightful owners.
i’m a year late, but it doesn’t change shape. you’re expected to upgrade it in the first Castlevania that’s why your great great grandson richter will get the fully upgrade the whip

*I don't know much about the Castlevania series so all this information went completely over my head.*
i know this is a 2 year old video but i would like to correct a few things.
1.the reason other factions took up the mantle in fighting dracula after Sotn is that Belmonts power to was slowly weakening it also didnt help after SoTN no belmont can wield the whip, this is due to shaft's mind control of richter and his hubris. for 200 years.
2.Though not mentioned the Whip's memory was made after the incident with Christopher's son. to ensure that the wielder cannot be possessed
and Desmond is not canon. this was somewhat mentioned though not directly that maxim wanted to be the one to wield the whip in order to save his juste and their friend from the fate of fighting dracula but the whip rejected him.
3.John Morris had Already Unlocked the Vampire Killer's full Potential in the Beginning of Bloodlines. and was using it's full power all the time which was draining his life force, and only found out about it when John's wounds would not heal when they used magic. it has nothing to do with using another families life energy as the Le'Carde's who are Alucard's descendant's main purpose was to act as the Whip's keeper.
4. in DoS there's a bit of information that the Vampire Killer was "Slightly" weakened after Aria of Sorrow. but it's power was still ridiculously Lethal since it was able to permanently destroy the demons that soma had to seal.
I'm fairly sure that it wasn't so much that Richter chose to not give his descendants the whip, but rather, because of the events of Symphony of the night they where somehow banned from using it due to the curse. Later that would be broken just in time for Julius to wield it; but in the meanwhile, other hunter clans made the efforts to fight Dracula's forces, like the Baldwins, Graves or the order of ecclesia.

Actualy, as far as I know the N64 games conflict with it SotN(some time intervals not adding up), so while Schneiders might exist in the main timeline they don't have much of a role in it(AFAIK the whip was given directly to Morisses). But neverthless I'm glad ma boi Meti is doing dem Castlevania videos.

Nothing beats whipping a Vampire's ass to dwell and back in the name of the Lord
The only thing is Matthias didn't create the crimson stone. Rinaldo tells it to Leon when he asked him about it after he defeated Joachim the boss of the dark palace of waterfalls. Rinaldo goes about the whole goal of alchemy which is making the philosopher stone but he also mentions that the Ebony and Crimson stones were made accidentally. No details of how they were made remain. The two stones are also the vampire's greatest treasures and there are no greater treasures for those who become vampires. Leon also mentions that he already knows what the Ebony Stone can do thanks to Joachim. Rinaldo also tells Leon that the Crimson Stone turns the souls of vampires into power for ít's master and that he's heard that it bears the curse of the vampires as well.
Shame no one talks about the only female Belmont Sonia because Koji Igarashi declared her non-canon. She was the real first Belmont to defeat Dracula with the whip while pregnant with Trevor.

Although julius is still alive and probably has a son of his own, plus dracula would just be reincarnated again or look for a new body.

Eh, I liked how the Netflix series handled this. Being that both the Vampire Killer Whip and the Morning Star are two Different Weapons. Separate, yet on par! Though I do think its more than possible to…upgrade the Vampire Killer to a Stronger state. At the same time I can also see how this whip could also harm its wielders.

No because item have no affect on him unless filled with hamon and vampires in both series act different as Dracula can turn into a bat or into a giant monster whilst dio can do that so they maybe called vampires it is more like they are a different species

I think you should take a look at Castlevania: Spectral Interlude. I know it's a fan game and thus non-canon, but it's my currently accepted explanation for why Richter was the last Belmont to wield the whip until 1999.
