  • [Recorded 27/10/19 and 10/11/19] Well I think Series 1 feels quite small next to that COP. XD
So then the backstory, after a tip off from another enthusiast about this lift being in the process of modernisation, I went to the lift and indeed saw the temporary walls up around the doors, and after a discussion with one of the store managers it was arranged that I would be sent an email when each of the panels was ready. Well at some point during that week I got the email confirming the COP was ready for collection so on the 27th I collected it from the store! I must say it was very interesting having this COP held upright inside the lift to the car park at the time! Anyway a couple of weeks pass and we get to Friday the 8th and I receive another email saying that the call panels were now ready! So on the 10th I went to get those and also got my first rides in the new lift! One thing's for sure it still likes to remind you somewhat that it hasn't always been the new lift, a lot of original equipment actually still remains. With that being said in this video I show you everything there is to see about the front of the COP and I restore the Push To Travel button to good working condition! Following that we take a close look at the LOPs, including examining the workings and restoring both buttons! It's weird that the Up panel has no indicator and I don't remember it ever having had one in all the time I've known this lift. Overall these are three awesome panels that now look a lot nicer with my restoration work having been done! Permanent markers really are useful for jobs such as this!

That's really good bringing a Dewhurst fixture back to life!

Yep I love it when I can simply use the permanent marker to make it look so much better, restoring parts in that way is something I find really rewarding for this reason, bringing parts back to life and making them look like new!

I love love this panelll! I just saw your story and I really want to do this if a shop lift is getting modernised - especially my early childhood fav lift!

Those fixtures and button panel are almost similar to my local m&s only the call button and the push to travel button is us85 then the alarm, open and close button is us90-15 and the alarm is above the travel button and the open and close is below. It got modded to be like that in 2002 and it was originally a furse but there was no video of the furse. And mine is hydraulic

      2. Live streaming will hopefully return at some point, trouble is i need to completely set up OBS again because when I switched to my new PC i didn't take the right files from the old one that could have allowed me to set it back up a whole lot quicker
