People were not kidding about over designing can make something less scary, that Freddy model is bone chilling
Been saying this for a while now. That isn't to say that overly-designed means inferior, but at times the simplicity of something uncanny can be the key to deliver scare factor.
This hole trailer uncanny.
It's like how Ao Oni looks weird as fuck but it super unnerving even it comes after you, whereas the movie version is kind of just a regular looking generic monster

Simplicity helps emotions hit harder because if something is over designed it can take longer of the brain to process what it is looking at, thus losing the effect of the impact. If something is simple it takes us less time to understand what we are seeing and thus the impact is more immidiate.
It's hard to be afraid of something when you are not sure what your supposed to be looking at.

Really nailed the Henry Selick vibe in the character design and acting there.
What I'm most intrigued by is the way the "Pizzeria" (for lack of a better term) actually looks! It's a fascinating combination between a dance hall, macabre gothic architecture, and a party place for children. So bizarre. So fittingly weird. I cannot wait for the full thing! Except I will! I hope you put in as much time as you need to make this truly something special!
I’m very pleased you noticed! I’ve probably put more work into the look and feel of the pizzeria than any of the actual characters. I wanted it to be a really unique take that almost felt like the building itself was a character in the film!
So does that mean you're planning on a full length film? I'd absolutely love that, There's nothing else like this out there as far as FNAF is concerned and the love and work put into this are evident in every single frame. This is really something special and as someone who loves Henry Sellick and Tim Burton I only wanna see more! @eagtab
Like a mix of Tim Burton and Coraline, showing how a simplistic design for Freddy and such characters can improve upon both fear and whimsy. Truly worthy of praise

“Freddy’s was an animated stop motion film made in partnership with Fazbear Entertainment. The film was made as a result of their 1993 Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza location (nicknamed the Graveyard Location due to company hired night guards disappearing in the location) not doing well financially. There’s not much information known about this film because it wasn’t released in theaters as intended. All we know was it was produced by a startup company called Modelmation, and it was to star a boy breaking into Freddy’s, with the beloved characters following behind. Only a theater trailer was released before the film went silent, presumably because of Fazbear Entertainment shutting down at the end of 1994. No copies of the film have been found, but who knows. Perhaps Freddy and friends will live on.”

The gloomy monochrome aesthetic reminds me of Burton but the character designs are giving me more Henry Selick vibes. Particularly the kid, looks a lot like James from James and the Giant Peach. You nailed both styles for this!
Finally! A re-release for the 30th anniversary! I heard this inspired some horror video game similar to it but this is amazing!
That is the weirdest version of Freddy and Co. I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen the Twisted models, Final Nights models, even the official Funko plushies. Amazing how this is somehow scarier than all of those yet somehow looking cute as well.

You know Eagan, as much as I highly disagree with you on your “spoiler free” thoughts on the actual Five Nights At Freddy’s Movie (a lot of the stuff you said made me question “are you sure we even watched the same movie?”), I will admit that you honestly surprised me and did an amazing job on this. I honestly thought that it was going to be live action at first, but instead you decided to do your own spin on things and make it a Tim Burton-style stop motion movie.
I wish you well on finishing the final product Eagan, despite our disagreements on how we each feel on the actual FNAF Movie, I am looking forward to this Burton-FNAF project of yours.

It's interesting. Years ago, around the time FNAF4 was about to come out, I had a dream where I was at some like Freddy Fazbear's party place or something. And from the outside, for some reason, it looked like the chemical plant from Batman 89 of all things for some reason.
Your take on the pizzeria isn't one for one what I saw in my dream, but the influences and mutual Tim Burton aesthetic REALLY reminded me of it...
