Hi Paul, the flow of this video was spot on ... not done that side of the Ogwen Valley yet as I tend to stay on the Llyn Idwal side, but NOT next time ...

Nice one Paul. I've been planning to spend a day on that river for 12 months or more. Just waiting for a chance to get there.

You got a great composition there. I was there just last week but with sunny blue skies all week Tryffan was cast in shadow so instead I focused on the waterfalls.

Its been done a million times but its still interesting to watch it being done again and yes it is a lovely place to be, the problem you have to watch is all the tripod holes if you get your foot stuck down one of them you are in trouble! It was a most enjoyable video to watch plus the fact that there were no adverts to spoil your enjoyment, they are now becoming a pest and I have cut the channels that I subscribe to down to half a dozen, thank you Paul for all the hard work you put into your channel, well done! The pictures looked great...

Paul have you tried Ogwen falls , many dont know they exist... cross bridge out flow lake near Ogwen cottage , walk over the road bridge until you reach a gap in the wall left side go through the gap you see a series of falls progress down to the lower valley, I think about 6 to 7 water falls....top one shows the old Roman bridge is actually two each side where the rivers meet , The Ogwen falls is about half an mile of different falls....near the base of the valley is a big one Paul ,must be 70 feet high paul , you'll need to go to the bottom to see it paul
To see the area look on CZcams Christmas song walking in the air ......youl see the area its backed up by .mountains paul ..... and 90 percent people just dont know its there paul !!!....they park by Ogwen cottage and never know the series of falls exists Paul

Love the result Paul. I thought for a long vlog (you like long vlogs don't you lol?) the actual crux of it was a little rushed. I'm confused by your using the term 'bracketed' 'cos I didn't notice any exposure bracketing going on. I gathered you'd taken nine panos, each consisting of five shots. I then presumed you'd stitched those five-shot panos together in LR, opened the resulting nine panos as layers in PS and combined the best bits of each. As you say, a time blend. Couldn't see any bracketing (which I take to be exposure bracketing which the X-T3 etc does so well) involved though. I have got that right??

Ok great comment. So I set my camera to take 5 bracket shots one norrmal then in steps one one stop go two over and under making five each time I press the shutter. So if I then take nine pano shots that would make 45 images. I then highlight them all in lightroom and clock open as HDR pano. This does all the work for you. The time blend would be different that is several shots taken at different times then used to blend in parts to make one photo

Final shots are lovely. It may have required all those shots to get the light as the cloud was pretty constant and slow moving. I'm warming to wide angle shots again. They seem to have gone out of fashion for a while. Also using some petroleum jelly around the edge of a UV filter to get some blur; very old school but works in stronger light and can't be reproduced in post.
