I do not own any of the music that was played in this video.
I love the way you added photos to your explanation of the world. It was really immersive. I am adding it to my TBR for sure
I love that you do series reviews. So helpful!
i just picked up the 1st book the other day and I am excited to start reading it. I actually love consequences so that makes me really excited.
I’m loving book 1 so far but the fact that you compared to Skyrim is the beat ever! Skyrim is my favourite game!!!
Id suggest the saga of the first king quadrilogy, every drizzt book ever made, and the crimson shadow saga as well. They are all gold.
Dark Elf is what got me into reading.
I just added this trilogy to my 2020 series to be read list! Thank you for convincing me to read this <3
This sounds interesting!
Bob Salvatore is my all time favorite author!! Happy you enjoyed the series :-) I would recommend his Highway man book series as well, set in the same world as the Coven Series.
So I have to say that I’m so so SO happy you read/reviewed this series. I actually read and loved the first book, but then got an advanced copy of the second book when it was about to come out via Netgalley and DNFed it. I remember just really not liking it and was going to pretend this series was a standalone. Now that I heard how you felt about the 2nd book, but then loved the conclusion...I have to give it another chance. So thank you!! ☺️
I have read almost all of his Forgotten Realms novels, and also Vector Prime, which he wrote for the first time in the Star Wars universe, but I have been hesitant to try to read any of his stuff outside of that. No reason why. Just scared, y'know? So I will be adding this to my Must Read Now list. Thank you for the wonderful book review and for piquing my interest!
Adding this to the top of my TBR right now!
I've had the first two books for a while now. May need to finally read them!
Love the review. Definitely on my 2020 reading list.
Already a Salvatore fan from his Drizzt series, but haven't picked this one up because I was hearing some sad things about it. But maybe because, while this Forgotten Realm series can be dark as heck, you have some characters you know have some plot armor - and this new series might be challenging for us who have only read his Drizzt books and arre used to that security? So now I am really excited! I love grim stuff!!!! (and fluff, each has its place haha)
I saw Skyrim & immediately clicked. I am intrigued and have added it to my tbr. Thank you.
Great review. Love the first two books and cannot wait to pickup the third. Love the main character, Aoleyn. I too was so sad at the end of book 2. I would recommend reading The Legend of Drizzt series. They are wonderful. :0)
These were very good reads. His Dark Elf books are great, but his Corona books are even better. There are several he's written in this world. Strong male and female characters trying to make the world a better place and oftentimes against some crazy odds. The use of magic is unique (IMO) to other fantasy novels. Highly recommend!
I loved the first one! Im.excited to continue on.
Read them- they are fantastic. The only issue is the parts with Aoleyn are so good that you can't wait to get back to her when he covers someone else's story.
