INSTALLING RGB Q50 MIRRORS ON G37

- This is a long, detailed, and boring video on how to wire RGB Q50 mirror lights and how to install the Q50 mirrors onto the G37. I’m not saying this is the correct or incorrect way, but this is what worked for me. The mirrors are fully functional, meaning the mirrors still adjust and tilt. The RGB mirror lights are fully functional as well. They display the show modes, puddle lights, and turn signals (which I’m not a fan of). I made this video because there was not a lot of information on the process, and the few people that have done it gatekeep the information. I am still working on the Amazon Wishlist at the moment, but it will be uploaded at a later date.
Since it is a lot of wiring, it is imperative to keep everything neat. Braided sleeving, zip ties, and heat shrink will be your best friend during this process.

Yeah, they do. They’re not notchy as they once were but they’ll fold in and stay
some rgb gtr style custom headlights would be a cool addition

Would be a billion times easier if someone simply designed a revised mirror cap that could incorporate both lights - personally I'd stick with something classy like a turn signal setup for those - otherwise it's probable cause to be pulled over. The puddle lights remind me of my girls BMW - which - they're really useful in darker areas
Yeah very true. But that’s the good thing about going all out on something, you can customize how you want. Like for instance, if I didn’t want the lights on, I could turn them off with the app and if I didn’t want the turn signals, then I could unplug them but I definitely agree with you
For the signal wire would you just tap into the signal from the headlight?
That works. I used the tail lights because it was easier for me, but the headlights work fine too

No. I got base model Q mirrors without the camera

All mirrors are the same dimensions. Some Q50 mirrors have different technology though (i.e. cameras, heated mirrors). These are just regular, base model Q50 mirrors
What about the blue wire for the driving light? Where u put it?

@iAlan7 puddle lights there's a black white wire which u connected to your door light where the dark blue wire? It's for the the side mirrors stay white while driving

hey man i have a question when i connected my drl it was working good for 10 min then stopped working and now my window won’t roll up it’ll roll up in segments hoping for a quick response ,going crazy rn😂
I’d check the power and ground to make sure there’s a good connection for both. As far as the window goes, do the same thing but also make sure the wires aren’t in the way of the window. I know the window will act funny it something is in its way

Literally in the process of this rn I was wondering what else I can cut to make the mirror sit more flush on the car it’s sits ok when I adjust the mirror forward but when I push it all the way back it sits crooked
Yeah just cut a little at a time and test fit every time you cut. Once you cut too much, it’s hard to correct it
@@iAlan7my q50 sequential light kit didn’t come with a controller can I still get the daytime running lights and turn working I don’t care about the rgb
@@TheMostHighh if you didn’t get the RGB ones then they won’t come with a controller. They’ll only come with 3 wires (I could be wrong though)? Power (white DRL), ground, and then turn signal
@@iAlan7mine came with 2 sets of cords the 1st set is black white and blue these 3 are all together and then the 2nd set which is an all red cord and then a red/black cord and these are together I assume the red and red/black go into the factory turn signal lights on the g37 and the black and white are for the puddle and go into the stock infinity door light not sure where the blue cord goes
@@iAlan7I also tried to wire the red and black and red to the factory connector but they didn’t come on so o assumed I’m doing something wrong or am mission something
i bought some lights and i cut the wire on the passenger side and it wouldn’t turn on once i wired it and the guy sent me a video saying i fried it somehow. do you think doing it this way messed up something with the rgb?

No I don’t think it’s fried. Double check the wiring but check the fuse just in case
