@@harikapandu10 There are plenty opportunities for resources who possess good skill set. So, having only ADM 201 certification is not enough to get a job. Focus on Improving your skills in Admin and Development part.

Yes, they will be in the market despite the presence of big companies like Oracle and Microsoft
One of the opening statements is wrong " eliminate the need for businesses to use software to manage their customer relationships" Salesforce is a Software (saas) and the objective is to eliminate the need for inbound servers which at that time was the normal way to go.
It was an inexpensive way for Ellison to test the waters of the future for cloud-based services, in terms of entering a new space in the CRM world and not being susceptible to mistakes that cost would cost him, customers. There is a reason why the founder has diluted his ownership of shares and it probably has to do with the future of SalesForce itself. Does SalesForce compete head-on with Oracle or is Oracle relegated to Institutional / Government? I don't know but I guess the future will tell us... Bottom line is that both the founders built Amazing Companies.

There is a genius in Salesforce and it lies in the fact that it sells air and has managed to sell it to some many companies. Many companies have no idea how to innovate but they feel they should (because everybody is talking about innovating). Buying a subscription to Salesforce is their answer to their own lack of creativity coupled with the desire to check the 'innovation' box. The staff are then trained on how to use something they have no desire to use and they do not understand what it actually does, either for them individually or for the company as a whole. It, of course, ends up not working and not having any impact on the business of the company (other than wasting countless hours of productive time). Salesforce has the ultimate plausible deniability in response to that: their platform is not being used correctly. And of course an offer to charge the company for more training. These are all the attributes of selling air.

I do not understand what they do and how their work affects my everyday life. Maybe it's because I'm 59 and in the rental property business. They can always write more and more code, but people will still need a place to live. And here in California a good place to live is worth more than some good code. Can someone please explain to me what they do in plain language?

Trying to do my best: Now I guess you have an Agenda, any custom made system to manage your clients data, excel, any other tool you use to trace your communication with your clients (people who offers the houses for rent and people who rent them). Now Salesforce can help you manage all of these information using one single tool. You can use it for registering new customers and manage communication, call or email or livechat with existing ones, manage or upgrade your sales process and manage additional services you may offer. You can also use a site (Community) where they can help themselve find the right house for them. There are plenty of more features.

What I didn't know is that they aren't sales people. They just do customer service.
More accurately, they create software that other companies use to do customer service.
