John & Cooper are unmatched, I popped a bolt head on the rim on my Thunder, called them, they noticed my bolts were getting a lil too short to work with, what almost resulted in me chucking my Thunder on my drive way, John basically had the 2 bolts extracted from the motor in less than 5 mins. @@upcycleelectra8311 Only thing holding me back from buying a Dualtron (Dt City, but really any model just city is perfect aside from this) right now is the lack of ip rating. I will waterproof it myself but they are definitely falling behind there. Other main thing is I wish they offered every scooter to have a removable battery, because if they did I would immediately buy 2 Spider 2's and a DT compact.
@@AuRowe there is so many decent scooter options On the market these days. My advice is always Try before you buy ( if possible ) Make a pros & Cons list.. wouldnt be to bothered about I.P Rating, easy enough to DIY seal most scoots Good luck with your search 👍

I’m part of EAST COAST SCOOTERS over here and I appreciate the shout out about NYC and it’s streets. That’s one thing people don’t realize...one of my main reasons of buying a monster scooter was because of the hills...but once you really begin to travel SHEEESH dem roads are harsh. That Dualtron city is looking right , hopefully it has great hydraulics cause at this point their becoming man holes.

Oh wow, depends on what you're looking for Buddy. The Spider Brand has been and still remain the lightest Scooter for the bang on the market. The Victor and Spider are so close, if you were saying the Victor Luxury, I would opt for the Victor straight away. But this one has to lay with your Personal Preference. I'm not big on the small Tire Scooters but that Spider is pretty impressive in this class and I would be more prone to say the Spider2 in this case (but everyone knows I prefer the Big, Bad POWER Machines that no one can lift) LOL!!

Have a new dualtron and the front motor has ceased It feels like it has lumps in the motor. ex when u free spin the wheel by hand it goes grip free grip free etc on a rotation. any ideas? back wheel is no problem.

If you are familiar and have opened it up, does your Magnets appear un-damaged? Or it can be Hall Sensors, Buck Converters or wrong wiring. Please call John and Cooper at MiniMotorsUSA.com and explain in detail what is going on with your Dualtron, if anyone knows for sure, it will definitely be these Dualtron Masters. They are really good at remote diagnosis.

They're ELECTRIC my Friend... and no manufacturer has figured out nor mastered full waterproof capacity or ability. ...would be NICE though but we're NOT there yet.
I wonder if Coop or the team got any discounts when they got their scooters. After 8 months of problems from day one, my raptor 2 finally was completely broken. The best they said they could offer me was 50% off a fast charger. I asked for any kind of discount on an eagle pro and they said it wasn't possible so I just always wonder if they pay full price for their own scooters.

Actually Vendors don't really make that much off of their Scooters (that's why I buy ALL my Scooters at regular full price because I don't want to hurt small businesses that have to find all sorts of creative ways to make profit) It is pretty tough to give the kind of discounts that a lotta Consumers want because their room is not that grand. Some Scooters. All the Vendor makes is a couple hundred dollars. Which will never sustain a business. Overhead and the cost of operating the distributorship cannot be upside down or there will be no one to sell Scooters because they aren't making money. I deal with a lot of different Vendors and have bought over 32 Power Scooters. I would feel awful if I expect them to give me a discount. But on the other hand there are moments (pre order) when prices reflect very attractive discounts. You just gotta know those moments and take advantage of those moments...
How much does the battery weight? The Dualtron City was mentioned to be 80 lbs. I want to be able to load it into a single engine airplane. 80 lbs is a lot to lift! If I remove the battery and load it separately, MAYBE I can lift the scooter without battery into the plane.

Each of those had issues with the Storm whereas the Thunder (1 & 2) out performed both Storms in their perspective releases.

All of them are very nice. But why only one comes with usable head light? Why none of them has at least basic protection against theft? I mean I can stop for a coffee somewhere and either must lock it with bike lock or keep an eye on scooter because anyone can come, push the button and just ride away. And how good is the battery lock on City if someone can come with screwdriver, unscrew 5 screws and take battery out? I dont get it TBH.

Any eScooter (even those with locks, keys, fingerprint readers) you name it, that have been and are stolen everyday. It is very simple for thieves to change those locking mechanisms and place a new one and abra-ka-dabra, just like that, they have a new Scooter. Because of that, the industry standard and best practice is to NEVER leave your eScooter unattended. That means, the only time you leave it is if someone is watching it. As for the Headlights... All Electric Scooters should come equipped with five basic safety features: • Effective Headlight • Front/Rear Facing Turn Signals • Effective TailLight • Bright Brake Light • Horn Manufacturers seem to be making efforts but I agree, a whole lot more needs to be done to ENSURE EVERY eScooter comes standard with these five features. You stay SAFE out there Buddy, Always GearUP!

All I can SAY... is out of all 38 Power Scooters that I have bought, this Dualtron CITY is the most inviting Scooter for me when I need to jump on a Scooter to cruise around with my Family. It is stable, has good speed at around 48mph, smooth (don't feel any bumps in road), nimble, Gradual acceleration, great steering pole height, brakes are incredible. It is a well built Scooter and everyone that I know, who owns one loves it just as much as me. If you pull the trigger on this Scooter you will not be dissapointed unless you're a HyperScooter guy and looking for speed (cause 48mph won't do it for you) Stay SAFE out there my friend and remember to always GearUP whenever, wherever You Ride. I don't put anything past ANY of US when it comes to modifying our Scooters with something we really want. I would say to always research and test EVERY SAFETY aspect FIRST before modifying ANY part of an Electric Scooter. Even putting a seat on your Scooter can be deadly my Friend. Know what it is you want to accomplish, test it's feasibility and safety. Blue print every aspect of your project, count the cost and THEN proceed. I have never seen anyone put a seat on the Spider but it doesn't mean you can't be the first. Just do it right and SAFE if You decide to move forward.

I’m undecided between the Bluetrans lightning the thunder 2 and the Burn e 2. Lol im 6 feet tall and weigh 250 as well. Lol don’t think the weight is coming off anytime soon. I do have some lower back issues so I was wondering which out of the three have the lowest stem and is it that low that I would be finding myself leaning over too much to where it might bother my lower back. Lol im a older gentleman too, 54, but still like to have fun. Thanks!
@@BlackDiamondM109R300 @Franky G yes, it appears we are definitely the same build and tomorrow ill be 58yrs old and love love love, Riding Power Scooters. I can say with a certainty that Riding (regardless the Steering Pole height) will affect your core, (which includes your back) your legs, feet and fingers as well. It is going to take actual Riding practice to strengthen those areas along with exercises to not be affected as much from assocated Riding pains and irritations. The Steering pole on ALL Dualtrons is right around 38" (which is short to most people) I'm 6'1" (242lbs) and because I know handling is more efficient and practical with proper height measurements and getting every Scooter you own to be at that determined height (I prefer a 39" Pole for my comfort) there is a protocol to follow in determining your right Steering Pole height. Hopefully this helps you My Scootopian Brother.

I don’t plan on doing any long distance riding cause I can’t stand for too long, but it’s nice to be able to have a scooter that has long range just for those moments when I do get o. Just remember, you have to strengthen those muscle groups that ache for all of us when we do our 1st rides and long rides because it will feel like you've been working out at first until you get use to Riding and then you don't get those aches anymore.

My Mannn... I just bought that one too. I think people might be sleeping on that City. I love the size of the Battery, you can actually carry one in your back pack ready to go and get 60 miles of range. Plus the 15" Rires will smooth out tough road conditions.

For instance, my grandkid's parents have had them riding Electric Scooters since they were five and above (now 12... they ride some of my most powerful units, with safety Gear as well). I personally will NOT recommend ANYONE allowing their 10yr old child to ride ANY performance eScooters, especially something as powerful as a Dualtron Storm Limited. It takes years of Riding for adults to Ride safely and the same apply to children I would start them off simple (on an entry level Scooter and work them up according to their skill level) Stay SAFE my friend and always GearUP when Riding.

John & Cooper are unmatched, I popped a bolt head on the rim on my Thunder, called them, they noticed my bolts were getting a lil too short to work with, what almost resulted in me chucking my Thunder on my drive way, John basically had the 2 bolts extracted from the motor in less than 5 mins. I will waterproof it myself but they are definitely falling behind there. Other main thing is I wish they offered every scooter to have a removable battery, because if they did I would immediately buy 2 Spider 2's and a DT compact.

I’m part of EAST COAST SCOOTERS over here and I appreciate the shout out about NYC and it’s streets. That’s one thing people don’t realize...one of my main reasons of buying a monster scooter was because of the hills...but once you really begin to travel SHEEESH dem roads are harsh. Hi, I'm torn between buying the Spider2 or the Victor... which one do you believe is better? performance, build, weight, etc...
Oh wow, depends on what you're looking for Buddy. The Spider Brand has been and still remain the lightest Scooter for the bang on the market. The Victor and Spider are so close, if you were saying the Victor Luxury, I would opt for the Victor straight away. But this one has to lay with your Personal Preference. I'm not big on the small Tire Scooters but that Spider is pretty impressive in this class and I would be more prone to say the Spider2 in this case (but everyone knows I prefer the Big, Bad POWER Machines that no one can lift) LOL!!

Have a new dualtron and the front motor has ceased It feels like it has lumps in the motor. ex when u free spin the wheel by hand it goes grip free grip free etc on a rotation. any ideas? back wheel is no problem.

Which Dualtron do you have Buddy? It sounds like Bearings but it's hard to tell from the little info given... If you are familiar and have opened it up, does your Magnets appear un-damaged? Or it can be Hall Sensors, Buck Converters or wrong wiring. Please call John and Cooper at MiniMotorsUSA.com and explain in detail what is going on with your Dualtron, if anyone knows for sure, it will definitely be these Dualtron Masters. They are really good at remote diagnosis.

TBH... I would never recommend ANY eScooter for Rainy USE.
They're ELECTRIC my Friend... and no manufacturer has figured out nor mastered full waterproof capacity or ability.

I wonder if Coop or the team got any discounts when they got their scooters. After 8 months of problems from day one, my raptor 2 finally was completely broken. The best they said they could offer me was 50% off a fast charger. I asked for any kind of discount on an eagle pro and they said it wasn't possible so I just always wonder if they pay full price for their own scooters.

Actually Vendors don't really make that much off of their Scooters (that's why I buy ALL my Scooters at regular full price because I don't want to hurt small businesses that have to find all sorts of creative ways to make profit)
It is pretty tough to give the kind of discounts that a lotta Consumers want because their room is not that grand.
Some Scooters. All the Vendor makes is a couple hundred dollars. Which will never sustain a business. Overhead and the cost of operating the distributorship cannot be upside down or there will be no one to sell Scooters because they aren't making money.
I deal with a lot of different Vendors and have bought over 32 Power Scooters. I would feel awful if I expect them to give me a discount.
But on the other hand there are moments (pre order) when prices reflect very attractive discounts. You just gotta know those moments and take advantage of those moments...
How much does the battery weight? The Dualtron City was mentioned to be 80 lbs. I want to be able to load it into a single engine airplane. 80 lbs is a lot to lift! If I remove the battery and load it separately, MAYBE I can lift the scooter without battery into the plane.

The Pack for the CITY is relatively light. It ways about 26lbs, and can easily be stowed in a back pack.
This video is wrong about the City weight. Scooter and battery is 91 pounds.
So is the Storm an upgrade for the Thunder I’m thinking about moving the Thunder on to my oldest boy and replacing it

No the Storm on either level (1 or 2) is not a replacement for the Thunder. Each of those had issues with the Storm whereas the Thunder (1 & 2) out performed both Storms in their perspective releases.

Yes, John did say that the Blue Tran will be sold on a different site and it will be within a couple weeks or so. They do have them in stock, so give them a call and ask if you can order before the site goes up or do you have to wait. They have three Battery capacities available at different price points (72V... 26Ah, 32Ah, 35Ah LG 21700) Ranging from $2700 to $3400.

All of them are very nice. But why only one comes with usable head light? Why none of them has at least basic protection against theft? I mean I can stop for a coffee somewhere and either must lock it with bike lock or keep an eye on scooter because anyone can come, push the button and just ride away. And how good is the battery lock on City if someone can come with screwdriver, unscrew 5 screws and take battery out? I dont get it TBH.

You are absolutely Right Buddy... but there are no eScooters that are theft proof. Any eScooter (even those with locks, keys, fingerprint readers) you name it, that have been and are stolen everyday. It is very simple for thieves to change those locking mechanisms and place a new one and abra-ka-dabra, just like that, they have a new Scooter.
Because of that, the industry standard and best practice is to NEVER leave your eScooter unattended. That means, the only time you leave it is if someone is watching it.
As for the Headlights... All Electric Scooters should come equipped with five basic safety features:
• Effective Headlight
• Front/Rear Facing Turn
Signals
• Effective TailLight
• Bright Brake Light
• Horn
Manufacturers seem to be making efforts but I agree, a whole lot more needs to be done to ENSURE EVERY eScooter comes standard with these five features.

Actually it's something we all have experienced with one or two eScooters.
All you have to do is get some silicon lubricant and spray a little I the Crack.
You will experience immediate relief Brother.

This thing is wicked FUN. And it feels so different than what we're use to.
The one gripe i have on these dualtrons is the screens! For the money ur spending they really need to integrate bigger displays an place them in the middle
Yessss... now that Segway Ninebot has done it, there is no excuse for any other manufacturer.
Lighting v2 has a big LCD and handles like a dirt bike exceeded my expectations
I love the way the city looks but it hasn't seemed to garner the love I expected. What's it like riding on the bigger wheels??

All I can SAY... is out of all 38 Power Scooters that I have bought, this Dualtron CITY is the most inviting Scooter for me when I need to jump on a Scooter to cruise around with my Family.
It is stable, has good speed at around 48mph, smooth (don't feel any bumps in road), nimble, Gradual acceleration, great steering pole height, brakes are incredible. It is a well built Scooter and everyone that I know, who owns one loves it just as much as me.
If you pull the trigger on this Scooter you will not be dissapointed unless you're a HyperScooter guy and looking for speed (cause 48mph won't do it for you)

One thing I've learned in this PEV Industry... is that anything is possible with our brilliant Group of eScooter Owners and Riders. I don't put anything past ANY of US when it comes to modifying our Scooters with something we really want.
I would say to always research and test EVERY SAFETY aspect FIRST before modifying ANY part of an Electric Scooter. Even putting a seat on your Scooter can be deadly my Friend.
Know what it is you want to accomplish, test it's feasibility and safety. Blue print every aspect of your project, count the cost and THEN proceed. I have never seen anyone put a seat on the Spider but it doesn't mean you can't be the first. Just do it right and SAFE if You decide to move forward.
Dang so expensive though for a scooter.

I’m undecided between the Bluetrans lightning the thunder 2 and the Burn e 2. Lol im 6 feet tall and weigh 250 as well. Lol don’t think the weight is coming off anytime soon. I do have some lower back issues so I was wondering which out of the three have the lowest stem and is it that low that I would be finding myself leaning over too much to where it might bother my lower back. Lol im a older gentleman too, 54, but still like to have fun. Thanks!

I can say with a certainty that Riding (regardless the Steering Pole height) will affect your core, (which includes your back) your legs, feet and fingers as well.
It is going to take actual Riding practice to strengthen those areas along with exercises to not be affected as much from assocated Riding pains and irritations.
The Steering pole on ALL Dualtrons is right around 38" (which is short to most people) I'm 6'1" (242lbs) and because I know handling is more efficient and practical with proper height measurements and getting every Scooter you own to be at that determined height (I prefer a 39" Pole for my comfort) there is a protocol to follow in determining your right Steering Pole height.

I don’t plan on doing any long distance riding cause I can’t stand for too long, but it’s nice to be able to have a scooter that has long range just for those moments when I do get o. Just remember, you have to strengthen those muscle groups that ache for all of us when we do our 1st rides and long rides because it will feel like you've been working out at first until you get use to Riding and then you don't get those aches anymore.

That is actually a GREAT question. It is DESIGNED for the Seat that is supposed to be designed specifically for the CITY. It is not an official place for a foot rest (just something I mentioned in the Video to get fabricators creative juices flowing) and I would love to SEE what Creators and Artist can come up with for that space. The sky is the limit.

I'm not totally sure of the EXACT weight. I think Cooper said it was 68lbs.

They actually got the size right on this New CITY because you can actually put an EXTRA Battery in your Back Pack without being or feeling bogged down. You'll never have Range Anxiety.
hopefully that gorgeous bluetran has its deserved spotlight.
dont want to see it overshadowed or ignored like the speedway 5 was.
I think that the BlueTran is going to hold its own pretty well... it's a well made machine and people get a lot for an economical swap.

Yes @Timothy Bampaniotis, you are basically RIGHT... especially with the Power issues that the Storm LTD is having right now that MiniMotors has promised to fix. I think once the Motor issue is resolved that the Storm Limited should take its expected place on the top of eScooter performance charts

I don't know about replacing... but the Dualtron Thunder 2 is the version of the original Thunder, and that new BlueTran Lightning is a formidable 2nd choice.

ZERO, a ZERO Scootopian and so on. Some people are mixed Scootopians but we are ALL the same in that WE all have PEV running through our veins and share the same interest, goals, energy and passion.

There are Square Wave Controllers out there Programmed in such a way that they allow total efficiency, smoothness and power (the best example to date is the Vsett 10+) there's another company, who's working on some technology right now who has taken it a step further, proving that, if programmed properly, SquareWave Controllers can match If not exceed SineWave (plus Manfacturers are already accustom to using SquareWave) we are really headed in some great directions because companies are working on technology that will change the game and make people think twice about everything we thought about SquareWavw and SineWave Controllers.

Can 10 year olds ride the dualtron limited?

When it comes to children riding Electric Scooters it is all relative to your family situation. For instance, my grandkid's parents have had them riding Electric Scooters since they were five and above (now 12... they ride some of my most powerful units, with safety Gear as well).
I personally will NOT recommend ANYONE allowing their 10yr old child to ride ANY performance eScooters, especially something as powerful as a Dualtron Storm Limited.
It takes years of Riding for adults to Ride safely and the same apply to children
I would start them off simple (on an entry level Scooter and work them up according to their skill level)

Of course the ONLY one that does not have cartridges is the New Branded Scooter (The BlueTran Lightning) which comes with Quad Spring Air Shocks and Variable Height Adjustment (front & back)

The judge is still out on that verdict Buddy... I am wrapping my Tour up and will be home soon to open several new Scooters (including the Storm LTD) that arrived while I was Touring the Country to promote Micro Mobility.
If it doesn't have New Motors... I'm afraid someone may have lied to my source about this but I will unbox it and take her for a spin to confirm when I arrive to my Florida Home Buddy.
mine I ordered from minimotors-nyc didn't appear to have a red stem lock collar which is why I asked. they sent me a picture of it after doing some checks before shipping to Florida.
