My favorite SNK/NEO GEO game ever. Whenever my family would stop somewhere in Jersey and there’d be one of those 4 game SNK arcade games there, I’d be happy beyond compare cuz most of the time they’d have THIS game. To me it was revolutionary in quality.

I just remembered what the game and two weird playable characters vaguely looked like the few times I found this game in an arcade 25 or so years ago as a child, but I never remembered the title, just that the look of the game fascinated me and I never had enough quarters to play it all the way through. Now I can see what the full playthrough is like!

Cool, Scary, Interesting, and Fun all in one. The gameplay was super dope. I don't know why SNK didn't add it in their compilation game on the Nintendo Switch. This game was pure magic.

Yes!!! This game always tripped me out. Fighting on top of a stampede of spirit horses, chariots in the mall, and not to mention, the wicked soundtrack. The whole thing had a creepy dead ancestor vibe to it.
Sengoku and Ninja Combat were some big time favourites of mine here but there's just something about Sengoku though which I'll always love, must be the music samples. There was also a competent Sega Mega CD which was very neat and a hilariously bad SNES port!!! Play that version heh.
This game is INSANE !!!! WOW ... wonder why there is not a manga / anime ??? It kind of reminds me of Hokuto No Ken but they use swords !! Who has the balls to do this with just one credit tho ? hahah The 1VS1 struggle with swords it's a really nice mechanic

They have a cavity in their head which should be always full with water. If you manage to make a kappa bow, the water will fall and it will lose its strenght. There most known references to kappas here in the west are at the "Harry Potter" books and at the manga "Samurai Executioner" (the thief "Shinko, the Kappa").

All 3 Sengoku games are also on Switch, Xbox One, PS4, and I think steam. They usually go on sale for a few bucks.

I love how the enemies always do weird shit when dying or entering the field
I like how you broke the blue Samurai sword and the he still fought you..
The sword deflecting is bad ass..
The music and battle drums are perfect
