The moon is like a giant mirror in space. It doesn't have its own light source, but it reflects sunlight towards us here on Earth. That's why the part of the moon facing the sun is always bright, and the side facing away from us is dark. This is what creates the different phases of the moon we see throughout the month.

Are you sure it's a true question?

The belief that summer happens because the Earth is closer to the Sun is NOT true at all. In fact, the Earth is closest to the Sun in January and farthest away in July. For more information, view Wikipedia’s List of Common Misconceptions page.

You are absolutely wrong. The moon reflects light from the Sun. Why do you think the moon goes through phases - crescent moon, half moon, full moon, etc. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
