just so if anyone who does not play the game is aware. the "thanos skit" is just a silly skit to showcase the different attack and ability traits Magnamalo has(hence called "the Malice Montage") that are base off existing flagship monsters(I ruined the combo with Teostra). He does not go on a quest to "Absorb" powers from different monsters at all in the game. (tho that be cool if thats really a plot point in the game)
TBH, you referencing this by having an Endgame skit when Rise's full version releases would be a nice callback to this.
It really would, a sorta nemesis style enemy similar to how Nergigante worked in world. Though Nerg didn’t get stronger over time.
But just imagine hunting all those monsters and having Magnamalo come in at the last moment, taking both the power of what you hunted, and the glory of the final blow.
Also, gotta say this, that starting bit where you have Magnamolo directly show. “Yeah traps do work on me, just cause I look scary doesnt instantly mean I’m an elder dragon.”
Perfect comedic timing and execution there.
the trap skit was base on personal experience, as you know I never follow the showcase/teasers capcom dropped before the game launches, so I was not aware its "not an elder dragon" and I had the mindset of "nah, not gonna use the trap to not make myself look silly that it does not work" when I first hunted it... so this was what made the skit (and also a callback to the nerg skit)
Eating stuff is *kind* of like absorbing their powers. Sort of. Try it with a pizza; eat enough of it and you will absorb its powers of being greasy and unhealthy.
I would have liked if the S&S met himself after you turned back the time on the switch clock.

Gore magala was actually considered to be in teo's place as the final monster for the "explosions" ability, but, i decide to go with toaster due to more revelance to the thanos joke I'm doing and lunastra fitting as the role of wanda.

@@bullbornbroken I have no ends of complaints with how Capcom designs these demos. Its like they're trying to market to Team Darkside exclusively or something. They give you crap gear, no food buffs, and an overly strict time limit. It makes you feel like you are fighting late g-rank monsters in high rank gear.
@@bullbornbroken monster hunter rise in general is very easy. the most easy monster hunter game ever imo. for now i have done all village quest and 4 star hub quest, never failed.
@@albertocerrone3518 that’s about the consensus across the board. It’s the same situation for me, barring anything I’ve done with multiple people, but I did fail a capture quest for somnacanth because it was too easy and I accidentally killed it.

If I'm being honest, I think their Rathian is my favorite monster design. I just love how every monster in the rise universe is coked out of their mind, and I think Rathian pulls off the look best. Like she's not even mad when she gets hit, she's just happy she has a free excuse to kill someone. I love that friggin face the most, I just look at it and think-

I find it cool that Magnamalo, said to be evil incarnate by Fugen himself, has the exact same color of energy coming off his back (when fully powered up) as the evil energy that Ganon's corrupted Hyrule with in BotW.
Malice is more red than purple, but you're right about the similarities.

The High-Rank DLC Magnamalo is probably what people remember from the demo in terms of difficulty, except you get the full 50 minutes to hunt him.

I'm pretty sure the theme of any Monster Hunter game demo is to make that said "final boss" ridiculously difficult to beat (but not impossible). Nergigante demo was hell, same for Velkhana, but then in the base game they're actually pretty normal.

Of course, this backfired once the weapons got loose and vanished into the wild. A bit more time, and the monsters ended up causing so much environmental havoc, as well as doing so much damage to the human settlements, that we end up in the first Monster Hunter games.

You know, with how you had Magnamalo take some of the monster's powers my mind thought of the megaman cartoon and I kept waiting for him to go "Now I have your power!" only for nergigante to punch him off. But the Thanos angle was good too. :P

5:01 I can't tell you how satisfying that was.
Magnamalo was interesting to fight in the main game. He had all of the abilities you mentioned, plus an auto aim tail charge, but myself and a friend both fought him and had two different experiences. In my friends fight he was a chump, my friend used a paralyzing charge axe and somehow managed to stun him each time he got enraged. In the end his fight lasted around 10 minutes. However, I used the wroggi dual blades and had a much more entertaining fight. Unfortunately, I ended up fainting twice, as I was expecting an easier fight. But I was disappointed at how quickly the fight went at around 15 minutes (He doesn’t seem to have a lot of health). I haven’t quite reached the + Magnamalo yet and experienced that. If someone read this far thank you for reading this. If you have any questions or advice feel free to ask.
